If you are the director of this pageant. Please do better next time. The swim wear portion. It looks like the girls have a sleep wear on instead of Bikinis. And the sport wear swim suit looks ridiculous. If you want to be conservative and not show a lot of skin. There are lots of options out there. Overall I wasn’t impressed but at the winner is beautiful. You definitely pick the right girl.

I believe our next Miss Universe shouldn’t sound so angry or harsh, but calm, cool, collected, and confident in a less abrasive demeanor. This is not a competition on masculinity but Devine femininity. Femininity on the outside needs to match what’s in the inside as well. If I want masculinity, I will watch Mr Universe. I’m saying this because I often watch these shows with non-Khmers and these are the main things they bring up when watching these types of pageants with me. All the contestants don’t need to shout or be aggressive to get their message across. You don’t need to be the loudest to be heard. It’s rather tacky and not classy at all especially if we are to compete on the international stage against other mega countries. Our country may be smaller than others but we are not less than any of them. We can be strong without aggression. They’re running for Miss Universe, not President or Prime Minister of Cambodia. As a person who has watched pageants for decades, I really hope they tone down a bit. Even the hosts need to tone down on the shouting. It’s embarrassing every time I watch with non-Khmers and they don’t understand our culture and language the way we do. Our pageants need major reform to be able to win on the big stage. As of now, we aren’t even close and that’s the sad reality of it.
