Just now listening to the game for the first time…had to check here to see what the hell was going on! It starts with Lee vs Wilcox at Tiger Stadium in Game 1 of a May 21st twinbill. Entering the last of the 5th, it suddenly jumps to the top of the 7th, with the Tigers coming to bat at Fenway! This jump occurred after an odd silence that lasted a few seconds, which might've been either an erroneous tape switch or a bend in the space-time continuum. But as a previous commenter said…two for the price of one!

So I went back and checked on the boxscore for the first game here–I listened to that one–I remembered Jason Thompson with a homer in that one.

I remember watching and listening to this game while patching lobster traps in my dads workshop. WCSH Portland via WSBK out of Boston. Thank you for this. WISH it was Jim and Ned, but I will take Ernie any day.
This game was played at Fenway Park. The Tigers and Red Sox did play a doubleheader at Tiger Stadium on May 21, 1978, but this broadcast isn't either game of it.
