  1. I think Miss America made its "misstep" when they dropped the Swimsuit competition. The SS designs of this era are tasteful and respectful to each contestant. Why not bring back the one-piece?

  2. sc's gown was one of the best i've ever seen! simple, elegant yet breathtakingly beautiful. its a shame she didn't make top 10 so all of america could see.

  3. I HAVE before seen a slightly better, or rather clearer version- not sure if you did it or someone else, but its the prelims for swimsuit and evening gown for this year, but on either 2 or 3 separate uploads. when the part gets to the start of evening gown for the group that Nancy O'dell (Nancy Humphries here),is in as Miss South Carolina, and after she speaks and turns around to reveal that STUNNINGLY low backed dress (VERY ahead of its time, not just for this pageant system but maybe even Miss USA for this time period), you can hear the "wow's" and gasps so clearly and it is one amazing spontaneous reaction. under the posting of that video, the person who uploaded it, seemingly unaware that she is the person now known as Nancy O'dell and instead just refers to "the lady from South Carolina" and something to the effect that she also received a standing ovation after that turn; sounds as though perhaps he was there in person or heard otherwise first hand. but great story anyways

  4. If anyone has evening gown and swimsuit for 1984 (Sharlene Well’s year),
please download it. 1989, 1990, & 1991 would be great as well. The here was a lot excellent talent, some of which should have made top ten. Live all of this, please keep them coming.
