A nice tourism video although it failed to mention the fact that Mactan International Airport – a 3-star regional airport according to Skytrax and the real gateway to the paradise islands of Cebu and Mactan where Lapulapu city is located – is currently ranked (2023) as the best airport in the Asia-Pacific region serving under five million passengers in the recently held Routes Awards. That alone should have been a great reason for tourists to swing by this central part of the Philippines.
Anyway, putting aside the omission, Claire Inso did provide multiple enough good reasons for anyone to come and visit her city and environs. As well as she was able to let us have a good idea of who she is as a person and and what she went through growing up there – without any hint of pathos or without setting up the viewers for a cheap emotional appeal like in other #HersStory videos. With a solid voice that rung joyous and sweetly informative throughout the narration, she achieved what she wanted to do with flying colors! Kudos!
