Amelia is so sweeet 💗 i like how gentle and truth she speaks🥺🫶.
Why can’t they just upload the unedited version of the interviews like Miss Venezuela pageant does? 🙄🤦🏼♀️
I hope MU uploads all closed door interviews of every contestant, not just the top 16.
Good Job JKN! ❤
I hope next year after the Top 16 is called please show us the snippet of their best closed door interview highlights 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 @missuniverse
I was so disappointed to see her in top 16 and after watching this video I even feel more disappointed, but with the organiser! This should have been release after Preliminary. She deserves to be in the top 16 with grace that she had during the interview, people should not be doubting her, however with the airtime they cut this out. For me, if they are not going to announce National costume winner, then maybe safe that time and air this interview instead???
Everyone who was in the Top 16 deserved her spot , whoever was not didn't deserve it. It's clear now.
Unfortunately the people who don't agree with pageants are right. I don't see any Curvy or disabled contestants. It's still disgusting to know that in this day and age women are still judged by their looks.
She has such an elegance to her. Very intelligent.
Wow well done Miss Canada
Amelia Tu, is a phenomenal human bein concise and well thought out.. it is too bad now to underestimate and far out from the truth…."to dig-in a bit deeper" – one can't judge till one knows; brain, style, Amelia Tu when knowledge is power.
Emília is so sweet and smart ! I knew she was going to make it. Never doubt she was going to be on top 16!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
she's pretty and speaks english well. I can see why she can't compete with R'BONNEY GABRIEL
TIL THIS DAY, NOBODY KNOWS WHY PHILIPPINES AND THAILAND DIDN'T MAKE TOP 16. 👈👈🤣🤣
She seems genuine and her nervousness made her even more charming❤
This year's competition, the MUO should show the live interviews of all candidates, if they really want transparency. The Miss Universe Philippines' show is doing that. Interviews were shown to the public before the preliminary competition begins.
I met Canada in Reno and instantly knew she would do very well in interview after chatting with her for 2 minutes.
These girls who were only good in interviews didn't make it to top 5 cause they didn't perform well on the other elements of the competition. As a pageant fan i kinda dissatisfied because they hve replaced a lot of deserving queens n despite the fact they made it to top 16 they didn't give us any sort of good performance, it's kinda waste of placing top 16.
I knew when she was crowned Miss Universe Canada 2022, she was gonna place. She should join another international pageant!!
It's very unfair to judge women with a 30-second TV pasarela… Listening to them speak rather, will tell us who they are and their essence as a woman. Judging them with a 1-minute swimsuit and evening gown pasarela is a disservice to them.
Yesh lot of pp here to see how she did and to be honest, she did really good for interviews and communication skills. But in my opinion, performance on the stage are also very important too and I think Phillipines, Thailand ,Vietnam and Cambodia they are much better.
Miss Canada was spotted later as she entered the MU pageant since her photos sent for MU website were not well done and did not display her beauty. She looks 100% Asian as a Miss China or Hong Kong more than a typical Miss Canada and there were already several very strong Asian contestants this year so she was not noticed as much. This interview shined light into her study and platform more and I really love her evening gown. It's stunning, like a snow phoenix. Her looks reminds me a bit of a very popular Chinese-born Singaporean actress Gong Li. As a Montreal-born Chinese Canadian, I would love to hear her speaking some French since Montreal is a bilingual city and French is mandatory 🙂 Happy to see her among the top 16 but she's already a very fortunate girl from birth compared to other contestants. Wish her success in her endeavours.
How can’t you read Miss Universe Canada?
Desde que la vi supe que además de bella entraría al top 15 que pena que no fue seleccionado entre las 5 para mi tremenda cándida…el poder de las mujeres delicadas, femeninas elocuentes e inteligentes…. En fin …un saludo desde Puerto Rico
Interview is 50% of the total score….
release Ms. Philippines' interview.
Naumay siguro ang mga judges sa kaka Authentic ni Celeste.. haist.. haha ilang beses nya yung binanggit sa mga interviews. Nevertheless, I'm still proud of her..
I think this interview is a very good way to highlight how and why certain ladies made it into the top 16. She was so clear and communicative, knew her advocacies deeply and with facts and data, and she spoke really well about the stereotypes of pageants and was very clear about realistic ways she is working to change them. Very impressive woman. Amazing job, Amelia! 🇨🇦♥️
Idk how many times i watched Canada's close up video..the way she speak sounds educated, real, authentic, charismatic, eloquent & confident..so inspiring to watch and motivates me to pursue study even more.Good job Canada!
If advocacy is so important that you can make it to top 16 if you did a great interview, why don't they make a competition just focusing on that ? A competition created to find great leaders. Because Miss universe is still a beauty pageant, so physical beauty matters. In this case with Miss Canada I personally don't find her very pretty. There are so many gorgeous AND smart asian women, why her ? Anyways, if they chose her, there must be a good reason, I'm not in Miss universe organization, I don't know their way of measuring beauty and intelligence
