  1. I rode hunters and jumpers in my youth and I’m not going to lie…the open jumping was scary. I did pretty good with someone else’s horse, however, my favorite thing was the hunter classes……lower fences and slower pace.

  2. Btw it’s not a gallop it’s a canter but you wouldn’t say a few canters later you would say a few strides later btw I know not all people are gon know what tha5 is so I’m not trying to be rude

  3. Very sad. I’m a former rider myself and I can understand the dangers involved especially what happened to Christopher Reeves. I’m a skier ⛷️ now but I’m very careful and understand the risks involved, especially when things happen because of someone else 👍

  4. ⚠️⚠️
The description of ALL of this makes NO sense –
    1. It was a JUMPING CLASS, not horse racing.
    2. How does "she topple off" and then horse landed on her?
No mention of whether or how horse fell too, she pulled it over on her when she fell off..?
Too much missing, doesnt make sense. But not surprising when non horse people ofmedia try to talk about horses. 😒

  5. I've ridden horses most of my life, and I wouldn't have traded a minute of the pleasure that I got from the joy of simply being around my horses. They are loving, magnificent creatures. Hannah could have just as easily have died in a car accident on the way to the stables. When the reaper wants you, he finds you. It was evidently her time to depart this world, which sounds cold, but the silver lining is that she died living. And when you think of all of the people who die in a hospital bed wishing for release, you have to find your blessings where you can. My heart and my condolences go out to her family for the loss of their beautiful daughter, sister, friend. May Hannah RIP.

  6. Um why is this labeled as horse racing competition????? That’s not what the competition was. It was an equitation class that she was competing in. For being this big of a channel do not label something like this the wrong way making people believe something that’s not true. What happened was absolutely terrible and shouldn’t be told wrongly about.

  7. Rest in peace to Miss Hannah and bless your family. This actually happened to a close family friend of ours in 2003, Meggan Morency. Her family has done amazing charity work to keep her spirit going ❤️

  8. This was a tragic accident. And they happen. To my understanding , the horse tripped and then landed on top of her. This happened to me as a teen, but thankfully in a sand pit…so I just sunk beneath his weight.

This is beyond tragic. However, we can't live life risk free…for that is not living. And this child was doing that….she was living her best life. Please change the tagline. And, the trainer said it best….we can't always focus on how to decrease risk….sometimes it is just a horrible accident.

  9. So showjumping not racing.

So sorry for her, I’ve had a horse rolled on me from a canter, I got away with a broken hip, but had two years in and out of hospital with various infections. RIP 🪦 🌈 🐎 🏇

  10. "Hannah, 15, was riding Quaxx 2, a 12-year-old Holsteiner gelding, in an equitation class when the horse tripped and suffered a rotational fall. The fall was unrelated to a jumping effort. The EMT responded immediately, and Hannah was transported to Sarasota Memorial where she was pronounced dead. The horse was uninjured in the accident."
