President Emmanuel Macron is addressing France for the first time since signing into law his controversial pension reform, facing warnings the political and social crisis it sparked is not over. Macron signed the legislation early Saturday, just hours after the banner change to raise the retirement age from 62 to 64 had been validated by the constitutional court, prompting accusations he was smuggling the law through in the dead of night. Dr. Raphaël Liogier, French Sociologist, Philosopher and Professor at Sciences Po, speaks to FRANCE 24’s François Picard about Macron’s messaging, ahead of his first prime-time address since the enactment of his pension reform bill, in a bid to ease tensions and calm protests.

Maybe Macron needs to ask Taiwanese President Tsai Ing-wen for advice on how to resolve the issue of pension reform, because Tsai Ing-wen also angered many people because of the issue of pension reform, but Tsai Ing-wen finally resolved this issue through sincere and polite communication

Look, France spent hundreds of millions of Euros on Ukraine and they need to restock their armory, someone has to pay for it, who else but the French is going to pay🤫
Angela Merkel-style, sitting it out worked out for her 😅
Democracy worked because Macron should have raised the pension age to 67 much like everyone else in the West. Emotional protests were going to happen anyway.
😂😂😂😂😂
