I met Heather around Christmas time of ‘95. I was 11 years old. Being born with hearing loss, I really looked up to Heather. My mom was able to arrange a meeting with her when she was a guest speaker at a local mega church in California. What a blessing it was to meet her. She was so sweet and very cool.
Miss Georgia (Andrea Krahn) had MY vote. She was the most beautiful & talented.

I guess the Miss America pageant chose 1995 as the year they wished to make a statement. Was it necessarily wrong? No, but if you were Miss Virginia or Miss New Jersey (both of whom in my opinion who were infinitely more deserving of the win), it's somewhat disconcerting to know that you never stood a chance despite your superior qualities and beauty. Very disappointing and actually quite unfair.

Miss Kansas sounds like Sissy Spacek in BADLANDS, Miss Ohio's speech is putrid, Miss New Jersey wears her tiara sitting at a computer terminal, Miss Virginia has a panicked look on the runway, Miss Indiana is the sister of one of the Fantastic 4 (but with no powers), Miss Mississippi is a dead ringer for Julia Louis-Dreyfuss, Miss Texas reads trashy John Grisham novels, and Miss Montana is a carpetbagger. So give the award to the cute deaf girl!
Can you please load up Miss America 1996 when Heather Whitestone crowns Miss America 1996. I missed that on television. I'd love to see the talent and who won. Who Heather Whitestone crowns.
