I’m going to give my honest opinion right not, and i am not being biased at all, and obviously I have my favorites, but I could not justify my favorite winning if they didn’t truly deserve or could back it up with their report card. Miss Netherlands, although a great speaker, did not demonstrate why she should have won in her evening gown performance. In fact, for evening gown, my score was so down the list, I was surprised she even qualified to semifinals. Miss usa, I loved her. I saw that she even does drag and I was like wow, that’s so cool and inspiring. BUT she was NOT the winner of evening gown. I don’t even her in 2nd, or 3rd. In fact, I have her all the way down in 10th for evening gown. Lemme give you my ranking.

I cannot justify her win of evening gown at all. Like she wasn’t bad, but her performance skills and walk, they were not great. And notice how Netherlands did not even make my Final Cut. Now obviously it’s a pageant and speaking matters, but how are we judging this. Is speaking skills scores overpowering performance skills? The second they called the top 11, I already knew something was up. No hate to Netherlands, she won and I hope she has a great reign but I don’t know how she qualified let alone win.
In swimsuit , pretty much everyone dropped the ball except for Vietnam and Thailand. Philippines was so disappointing since I had her pretty high up in my evening gown. But her performance was so sloppy, her poses were not flattering, it was one of the most disappointing performances given by a filipina. Usa, well. She also have a disappointing performance, her walk struggled with smoothness, it was just not Grace, and you can tell she was trying. Malaysia was also another one who you could tell was trying hard but she was also twitchy like Philippines, trying to be fierce but just unrefined. Her facial expressions she gave were also awkward, like usa and Philippines. And Netherlands, well she did just as she did in evening gown. Not a smooth walk, not much hip movement, unflattering poses, a smile the whole time with no changes at all. And it was just awkward to watch. Mexico was basic. I thought she did decent, it was like bare minimum, she didn’t do anything wow, but u didn’t cringe as much as I did when I saw the others. Out of the top 6, Thailand and Mexico did great. But Vietnam giving a solid evening gown performance and and a great swimsuit performance being upstaged somehow by the rest was SHOCKING!
This pageant has been going on for over a decade, they need to get better coaches. I can see the girls are trying very heard, but they are putting more money on this stage than the actual girls and their performances. This pageant will die if they don’t make this an actual competition, and not just a show. Which is exactly what if feel like right now because I just can’t fully justify Netherlands winning. Please tell me if I am blind or something, but the performance I saw was more 3 weeks in pageants than winner. I would love to fully support her reign, but if that’s how we are judging, then what are we doing. I don’t se people will go back and watch this and be like “ wow she’s a queen.” While she may be beautiful and tall, she did not perform like a queen.
