I thought DC and Missouri gave the best answer. West Virginia her answer was a little shaky. New Mexico also a little shaky. Tennessee was good. Overall, I'd pick Missouri as Miss USA with WV as first runner-up.
I have to watch the final question now because at this point I don't understand how New Mexico won.
Best in evening gowns, imo, were Oregon, W Virginia and Missouri.
I liked Missouri best. She was great in interview. Texas in swimsuit looked very awkward and ungainly coming down the stairs.
Bob Barker was a horrible host here
"Don't correct the MC Miss Missouri" … those old days when partriachy values could not be tested, even when there was no test … just a young girl telling Bob Barker the right "runner up" number … but I guess a young girl has no right to tell a "TV legend" he also makes mistakes on TV … Oh well … Men's insecurities being broadcast on TV with a smile on everybody faces … 1984 was really a complete different planet to today for sure.
Wow how time has changed! More than 50 contestants, none of them had dark skin. It's very sad. Non-white girls simply had no chance back then.

Julie should of been miss universe, Lorraine looked like a child and Julie was a woman. Lorraine was so shy. Miss universe catered to more innocent girls, that’s why usa has so many runner ups. Julie, Judi, Amanda and Deborah all should of won but lost to Miss Universe winners

Didn’t like the winner, she was so obnoxious at Miss universe. everyone else in the top 10 striked me more than Mai
