Six contestants at last week’s Miss Universe Indonesia have filed a police complaint, alleging sexual abuse at the pageant. Five of them were stripped down to their undergarments and asked to pose topless.
This is the latest, in a long list of sexual abuse allegations to plague the world of beauty pageants. Is it time to shut them down for good? Palki Sharma tells you.

Women all around the world complain about patriarchy but eagerly join these pageants that are a charade at imposing those beauty standards that were brought into existence to be pleasing to the eyes of men.

We must do all we can to keep women & children safe at all times work play or whenever people try to do anything we want people to enjoy life freely we will not beat each other down terrorizing the right of enjoyment out of everything to seize the money and contracts that my fund programs.
Perhaps tightening rules regarding privacy trespassing security background checks and interactions will improve things.
Pageants are supposed to be celebrated and fun competitions that give young people a platform to show off attributes and talents competitively win prizes and a little prestige to give them advantage.
This is really difficult because of differences in culture and laws of each country or state demographics & pressure for billions of dollars from advertising news media coverage sponsors & ratings or whatever advantage contestants experience.
In child pageants Some places in the world legally consider Girls marriage ready at the age of 12 or younger with parental consent should pageants in these regions be allowed or contestants allowed to conduct themselves accordingly on the same stage in child pageants ?
How can we keep women in pageants from being targeted by inflicting violence to oppressively restrict the whole woman her the female form and femininity to have funding pulled away! they should serve a purpose for empowering girls to take on greater well rounding public service roles with confidence as they approach womanhood that give self confidence to handle commanding all attention to empower self determination advantage accomplishment and edge to make them more competitive What could make them fun yet dignified? Should we give greater responsibility and broaden the role as global ambassador?
Beauty pageants have come a long way we include single mothers & transgendered.
The designated role that comes with the title is Recognition and opportunity to demonstrate the limitless potential of that individual who has the honor of being the standard of womanhood to the world.
Beauty is big business Lucrative business product placement is crucial every man & woman needs to know how to create a demand to coordinate & promote all products and services of sponsors affiliated make the impression and put themselves together in day to day life without a paid professional team whether we live large or small for every occasion. Perhaps we need to find a way to increase demand by guaranteeing a getting off to a good start in life investment pkg startup fund or something like a dowery fund or whatever the contestants choose

Careful they are looking to gut program funding for very essential programs that give the poor and aspiring advantage You would think they would provide actionable protective protocols for Contestants as well as the precious jewels used Perhaps what is missing is some form of mental regulating a proper mindset mentality or reassigning anyone showing sign of being overwhelmed so that attendants see only the objective & can obsequiously appreciate without lusting.
Pageants afford Most women the opportunities to learn confidence poise and how to handle themselves in situations & that even in today’s swimsuits their endowments do not detract but are part of the whole pageant persona personalit and the mission decorum and deportment as in old charm schools or finishing schools how to be a spiked person public advocate and ambassador to the world they win lucrative scholarships grant awards & contracts that give a young emerging female a sense of empowerment social positioning and just enough celebrity access to be influential. Perhaps we are due for a security and ask the global public what the international standard for all women is and how pageant determine upgrade so all women can experience pageantry and be financially secure
