She was Miss Kentucky Teen USA 2002, Miss Teen USA 2002 2nd Runner-Up, Miss Kentucky USA 2006, Miss USA 2006 and Miss Universe 2006 4th Runner-Up.
Unfortunately, however, Tara’s reign would be remembered more for the scalding headlines written about her lifestyle than any duties she actually performed as Miss USA.

This was great Rina! Love your storytelling. I hope Tara does release a book one day 🙂 she just recently had a baby and we’re all so happy for her because the journey was difficult, and she was very open about the struggles. She became the role model she always needed 🥹💖

The biggest Miss USA scandal was in 1957. Miss USA 1957, Leona Gage (1939 – 2010) from Maryland was stripped of her title when it was revealed that she was 18 (not 21), married, and the mother of TWO children. She passed away on October 5, 2010 at the age of 71. In 2023, married women and women with children can compete at Miss Universe.
