  1. The Miss USA organization has been my personal favorite for a long time, but I’ve always had a special place in my heart for Miss America. It is a shame to see an organization with such a great following and reputation as MAO to suddenly be ashamed of being called a pageant. It is disappointing to know I was not able to compete while Miss America was at its prime.

  2. As a titleholder in the Miss America Organization, I agree that Miss America is starting to become less of a pageant and more of a talent show. That being said, it still remains an amazing scholarship opportunity and platform. I come from a smaller state where pageants aren’t very known about. Miss America provides me the opportunity to speak to thousands about my cause, and provides me scholarship money while I pursue my degree.

  3. I know this could not have been an easy decision to post this video. I am certainly confused and sad with the direction Miss America is going. I'm in USA, but my best friend is in America. I really hope the organization starts to listen to the people it matters to most, THE CONTESTANTS, and not the masses of the 99% who don't even watch. Thank you Pageant Planet and Steven for standing up and speaking out on this. I know many America girls will appreciate this action and intention of helping the organization understand the confusion and frustration we all feel for these women.
