I am happy for Alexie because she represents the reality that most Filipinos wants to believe they’re white-adjacent when their heritage has rich melanin in the diversity. You see this so often where Filipinos claim Spanish heritage and other things that they believe elevates them sonically. Sad. It will make a lot of gluta-loving people happy but many will be uncomfortable. Granted the same kinds people will be uncomfortable with this comment.
Am not from iloilo city. But I am voting for alexies for Miss Universe Philippines. Until Miss Universe. Win.
