Definitely, Sir Jess, NOBODY is perfect and you are DOING A GREAT job! This is NOT an ESL class, this is NOT a TOEFL or TESOL class. It is all about CONTENT and integrity so you can put your mind at ease! Keep it up! 🙂
Sadly, pageantry has LONG LOST its flavor and magic. Nowadays pageants are more perceived as a glorified job application, if not a fake advocacy festival. The fans are smarter now and have more relevant things to do than just watch a bunch of fakers who use beauty queens for their personal profit and gain. I am not sorry for speaking out my thoughts.
Thank you for answering about Karolina's extended reign, but I think it was right that MWO is still struggled to find a host country at that time but I felt they would be found and made an excuse that Karolina is very bankable to their clients yet MWO was on the verge of the "Pageants is dying" argument. Let's see if they will find another excuse to postpone 72nd Miss World if they think that Krystyna is a very bankable queen?
For me personally, pageantry has become irrelevant. I am a 90s kid who has crazy about pageantry, even during the times when our Binibining Pilipinas bets wouldn't even get a place at the semis. I was one of those who pageant fans who were active in the blogospheres and websites when social media were not a thing in the early, mid, and late 2000s. When the social media platforms were already a thing in the 2010s, I was one of those active commenters (or bashers LOL). But my passion just died due to the fact that there's a lot of content to digest and some of those content creators that I don't agree with. TBH, I like your youtube and social media page because most of your opinions aligned with my personal opinions. To name the few, your unwavering support for our very own BPCI and the BPCI ladies. Pageantry does not excite me any longer as it used to. It started with a very disappointing results when Carlene Aguilar did not placed at Miss World. It really left a bad taste in my mouth that I lost all my interest in MW. I started losing interest in MU when they left Binibining Pilipinas and partnered with the world's most hated Orangutan, Jonas Gaffud. Nakakairita sila ni Supsup. I don't love of hate Khun Ann but I believe that since the west has already lost interest in MU, its just right that the organization will be owned by an Asian and Latino since its where there fan base are. It's the only way for MUO to survive in this era. I like the glossiness of MGI but has low expectations in it because their purpose is to thrive in controversy. Thank God that BPCI dropped them. They are not worthy of the Binibining Pilipinas partnership, TBH.
Pageantry will be irrelevant in the West but it will still thrive in Asia and Latin America because the countries in those regions are CROWN HUNGRY. They will do anything for the crown and that would the the only reason why pageantry would still thrive, in Asia and in Latin America at least.
