Title: The PERFECT Holy Grail tinted moisturizer!
Review: I ADORE this stuff. I can’t live without it!I have the skin tone of professor Snape – a sallow pallor, about as even as the skin of an aging zombie, accompanied by sunken, dark-ringed, hollow eyes a la Gollum. If I go out of my house “barefaced” and carefree, strangers rush to me, asking if I need help. If I’m sick. If I should sit down. If I’m contagious. (Seriously, this has happened on several occasions.)I also am not a makeup person OR a morning person, so I donât really do a morning makeup routine.Enter â BalmShelter, my saving grace! It covers JUST enough of the unevenness of my skin and adds a shade of coverage to my dark circles to fix my face. I can get away with wearing JUST this and maybe a little bit of powder – and people don’t go running and screaming from me like in the finale scene of a disaster movie.This stuff is thick and luxurious. My skin feels plump and moisturized afterwards, but not greasy. I don’t even feel TOO guilty on days where I’m so exhausted that I slither into bed and forget to wash my face – I haven’t noticed any breakouts after doing so.On days when I want to look EXTRA fancy or not sick, I do have to wear an actual foundation for more coverage, but on most days, I just slap this stuff on.**ETA: 1/2022 The Balm discontinued Balm Shelter, and replaced it with Anne T. Dote. I do not recommend Anne T. Dote. It’s weird and chalky and too light of a color and is not creamy and smooth like my beloved Balm Shelter. Someone, help me find a replacement, please!

Title: Great for daily wear and the low maintenance face
Review: I was in the market for a new “tinted moisturizer.” I had been using Sara McNamara’s Miracle Skin Transformer (which I LOVED), however at nearly $50 for barely 2 oz. I decided to try something new. This has definitely exceeded expectations and is much more wallet friendly! I think this is just as good (if not better) than the expensive stuff. I am pretty low maintenance when it comes to make-up which is why a tinted moisturizer is much preferable to me than most foundations, concealers, or anything that needs to be blended. I use a small pea sized glob of this and it more than covers my whole face, has a nice tint to it, giving my skin a nice even tone and conceals any pink/red spots. Its easy to apply and lasts the entire day. I also have fairly sensitive skin and this has yet to irritate or dry it out. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Title: The Best I’ve ever Used!
Review: Wow. I am impressed! I’ve tried so many tinted moisturizers and have never much liked them. But this one blows all the others away! I’m 53 and I can’t wear heavy foundation anymore. I finally realized that a natural Iook is much more appealing as one gets a bit older. I opened the tube and noticed it squirted out of the tube nicely. As I started to put it in my face, it felt “dry” in a way and at first I thought “uh oh”, but as I smoothed it over my face, I noticed how incredibly evenly it distributed. The finish is incredible! And the color match is truly amazing. The light medium is a perfect match for my fair to medium skin. And five hours later as of now, it doesn’t look oily at all. In fact, it looks the same as when I applied it. This is definitely my new favorite makeup product. I can’t imagine going back to regular foundation now!

Title: Worth it.
Review: I really do love this BB cream. I change my product up sometimes between foundation and BB cream, but this BB cream I always come back to. For one its more of a foundation, it has good coverage and better coverage than a lot of light foundations. The only thing is since its so pigmented, my skin does not feel like its breathing, also since its a BB cream, it comes of with the slightest rub or movement. Also the light/medium is more of a medium, surely not for the months that I’m pale. If i wear this when Im pale it comes off pink and its obvious I’m wearing make up. It keeps my breakouts at bay but doesn’t help that much. Overall as a BB cream its good, covers well, but the colors pinkish, rather than yellowish and looks 10x better on tanned skin.

Title: Pleasantly surprised by this product
Review: I was looking for a good tinted moisturizer. Most of the moisturizer with high ratings were in the 50+ range. I saw lots of positive reviews for this item, but was uncertain what shade to pick. After carefully reviewing the buyer reviews, I went with light/med (my skin is pale, but not extremely pale) and I couldn’t be happier with the result. A few reviews mentioned an orange coloring, but I have not seen this, only exceptional coverage and gorgeous looking skin. I have used this product for two weeks before writing this review because I wanted to make sure I didn’t break out. I moved to California two years ago from Texas. When I moved, my skin started breaking out and I didn’t know what to do about it. Luckily this product not only makes my skin look amazing, but my skin has cleared up! Overall, worth the money!

Title: Not Reef Safe 🙁
Review: I have used this product as an every day go-to for spring/summer skin. The light spf was enough to make me feel like Iâm being somewhat responsible without slathering on a layer of spf 50 to sit in the office Monday-Friday. For a day out in the sun, I use an actual sunscreen formulated with face tint (as opposed to face tint formulated with some sunscreen). Iâve been doing more research on sunscreen and general and was disappointed to learn this product uses chemical sunscreens that are shown to be not reef-safe. Octinoxate was actually banned from being sold in Hawaii through legislation starting this year (2021). Please please please donât use this for a day at the beach. If you live in the Midwest, are spending a day hiking in the woods, picnicking in a park, etc and arenât going near water then it may be a good fit. But for coastal/water-body folks please use a product formulated with mineral sunscreen that wonât impact the environment you are there to enjoy! And Balm, I hope you reformulate this product with mineral sunscreen in the future so I can come back as a customer!

Review: This product is amazing, I have rosacea, and Iâm allergic to everything. This product cover my redness, last all day, and doesnât give me allergy. Iâm very happy. I use it every morning, in small quantities, it last a lot, I bought my last one In January and I still have left. I donât usually wear make up, this look natural, I use it to unify the color of my skin and works perfectly.

Review: Hallo zusammen.Ich habe mir diese Creme aufgrund der guten Bewertungen gekauft & muss sagen ich bin sehr zufrieden!Um von meinem Make up weg zu kommen suchte ich eine Alltagscreme mit einer leichten Deckkraft die diese meinen Vorstellungen vollkommenzutrifft.Die Creme lässt sich auf der Haut sehr gut Verteilen, man sollte nur schauen welche (farbe) mal wählt. Ich gehe regelmäsig unter die Sonnenbankund habe daher eine nicht so Helle Haut und habe die Light/Medium genommen die super zu meinem Hautton passt.Die Creme riecht angenhem.Was mir besonders gut gefällt es macht eine weiche haut!
