Title: First Time User
Review: At 62yrs old, Iâve never used much makeup. I donât think itâs good for our skin so Iâve always stuck with a little mascara, a little eye shadow, Bare Minerals blush and maybe some lip color. I donât do this often and mostly go without makeup. I just stick to a good skincare regime and sunscreen. This powder, after one use has really surprised me. I love it! Iâm starting to show a little bit of sun damage and some weird small red patches that donât seem to have a cause. I have light olive skin and ordered the âmediumâ. Itâs perfect! It goes on lightly and at 1st, I didnât think it was really doing anything. I kept on gently adding more and in no time, my skin looked clear and didnât even look like there was makeup on it. At the end of the evening, there was no creasing or color change. No emphasis of any fine lines, nothing. I just put another in my cart since itâs on sale for Black Friday.I am sold on this product! I read 1 review that mentioned the color looking a bit orange once on, a look I definitely would not want. The medium I ordered has none of that tone. If youâre even considering trying a powder and youâre older, like me and worried about it possibly being drying, try it! Itâs smooth, applies easily, adjustable for coverage and looks so natural.

Title: WOW. JUST WOW. 4.5 out of 5; minus a little for no color/shade samples
Review: I’m almost 60/F, some wrinkles and a fair amount of discoloration, red spots, and sun damage, esp. on cheeks.This foundation (baked balance and brighten, color FAIR) is really easy to use. Feels like nothing, even when building. I used only basic, soft, fluffy brushes I had on hand; they worked well for light coverage, but I do think a denser brush option – like a retracting kabuki, as recommended – might work better for building.Very good coverage on bare skin (moisturizar only), pracrically perfect over an inexpensive primer. Almost all my flaws disappeared, even without concealer.Did not settle in wrinkles, either. I FEEL PRET-TY, OH-SO PRET-TY!…or, at least, “not bad for an old broad, not at all!”.I do find that using primer is better over large pores and significant discoloration, such as have I. I used a budget brand with spf 30 and the foundation went on perfectly.It’s FAST, too. The longest part if the process is waiting for the primer to dry, maybe 1-3 minutes.Found it difficult to shade match – but to be fair: When is it *not* difficult?Would be a very nice thing if Laura Geller Beauty offered an inexpensive “sampler” (say, $5.00 for just enough product for 1/2 face in two adjacent shades) to help in this process.I tried “PORCELAIN” first, but it was just a tad too light. The model wearing “FAIR” looks like an olive tone to me, whereas (I think?) I’m more peachy, like the “LIGHT” model – but I’m super pale…but … but.. hem ..haw..Seems really wasteful to open, use once and return a full product to try a color that isn’t quite right, as I have. “Samplers” would really help reduce the volume of product returns, not to mention reduce waste and carbon footprints – just sayin’.Step up,ðLaura Geller. Title: Beautiful finish with good coverage
Review: My skin is a little older now, and the loose powder mineral foundation I used for years that I applied with a kabuki brush just didn’t look good at all anymore. I needed something with a little better coverage but that wouldn’t look cakey or settle in fine lines. This foundation has been perfect for that. I can build the level of coverage I want with the sponge applicator (just note that you’re not going to be able to get into tight areas with it) & the finish looks natural, fresh & dewy right from the start & lasts all day. I swear it makes me look at least 5 years younger!The only reason I didn’t give this 5 stars has to do with color consistency. The full-size compact wasn’t available in this color when I ordered, so I got this travel size to try it out & I couldn’t have been happier with the result. A couple of weeks later when my sister asked if I wanted the full-size compact she had in this color because she said it looked orange on her (there is a little bit of difference in our complexions so I didn’t think anything of it), I said of course! But it looked orange on me too. I used the travel size again the next day – not orange. So while this is a really great product in terms of finish & coverage, they seem to have some issues to iron out with color consistency.

Title: OUTSTANDING!!!
Review: This foundation may have light to medium coverage, but all of my flaws (broken capillaries, spider veins, and redness are covered). This wonderful powder foundation also blurs fine lines and gives a flawless, no-makeup look! I wear the porcelain shade, and normally (in my experience) lighter shades tend not to cover as well, but this one does!

Title: Very soft and light, but barely any coverage
Review: I recently ordered a Laura Geller makeup kit that contained blush, bronzer, eyeshadow and highlighter and liked it a lot, so I ordered this foundation to see if it would be a good replacement for the liquid foundation I normally use. I also purchased a brand new retractable kabuki brush to use solely with this foundation. I am in my mid-late 50s and have fair skin. My skin has normal aging (crows feet and mouth lines, as well as freckles and a little discoloration in a couple of places) and tends to be on the dry side rather than oily. I like a “natural” sun-kissed look when wearing makeup, and that is a big part of why this brand appeals to me. Unfortunately, this foundation didn’t work for me. It took me more than double the amount of time it normally takes to apply liquid foundation, and I gave up after 3 or 4 applications with the kabuki brush because I didn’t see a difference at all in my complexion, and I didn’t have time to keep making more applications. The powder is also messy and little bits of it were escaping the container and falling onto my bathroom counter, making a mess for me to clean up. I am pretty disappointed in it, especially since I like the other Laura Geller products a lot. The high number of 4 and 5 star reviews of this product is really baffling to me.
