Title: Perfect for lips. Not so great for cheeks.
Review: I am extremely happy with the CLINIQUE POP LIP + CHEEK OIL BLACK HONEY. While I don’t care for it on my cheeks, it is my ideal lip tint. It goes on like a thick gloss. The color is dark, almost black. But that dark color is also partially translucent. It goes on moist, and it gives my lips a natural-looking, darker rosy tint. The color doesn’t come off when you eat or drink, and it looks like your natural lips, but enhanced with a touch more color. It is everybody’s favorite kind of cosmetic: it looks natural, but way better. Most people wouldn’t think you had any lipstick on. But it still enhances that natural color. It’s just not obvious. It’s really pretty. Most people would rather have all the benefits of makeup without it being obvious they’re wearing makeup. This does that. I’m extremely happy with it. I do wear blush, and it is one of my favorite cosmetics. I don’t like this for my cheeks because I don’t think the consistency is right for skin. I’m not opposed to wearing a little bit of lipstick on my cheeks, but this is too gel-like to blend. I feel like it just sticks in my pores without really giving me that rosy, sun-kissed look I’m going for.

Title: Good!
Review: First I want to start off by saying don’t let this color in the listings scare you. This was the color I was able to choose and thought it would be super dark and rich and deeply colored but it in fact is NOT like that at all. It honestly reminds me of my favorite matte lipsticks which are KVD Lolita. It is a very natural beautiful rich darkish red color no where near plum or black. It’s a dark rich reddish brown and it’s stunning for my skin tone. I’m usually a few shades darker than fair for context. The gloss itself applies beautifully and the more I apply the more pigmented the color gets! its honestly my favorite gloss now and I will keep this color for as long as I can. the formula isn’t too sticky and just feels smooth and looks beautiful on. The cheek oil I can see how it CAN be used for it but just because it can doesn’t really mean it should. its just a tad too sticky for me anyways to use as a cheek oil and doesn’t work well with my makeup underneath it. maybe as a standalone without makeup for color I could see because the color did look natural, blended well and wasn’t too pigmented at all.

Title: Clinique Black Honey
Review: I really like the Clinique brand so I was excited to try this product out. I really, really like this product. It goes on the lips easily and looks very pretty. It leaves the lips feeling very soft. This is not sticky at all and truly is a beautiful color. At first it goes on dark and it looked very dark but once I rubbed my lips together it turned into this beautiful color. I do have to reapply frequently but I don’t mind because I enjoy this product on my lips. I have not put this on my cheeks and I don’t plan to so I can’t speak to that. I highly recommend this product.

Title: Clinique
Review: I feel like Clinique Black Honey lip and cheek oil is one of those products that looks great on every age and skin tone. I like this as much now that I’m in my mid-40s as I did when I was in my 20s. And there’s a chance that I’ll need to hide this from my tween nieces too. It’s been decades of this product making “best of” lists and is still perfect. The oil is not remotely sticky or greasy. It just feels lovely on my lips. Still one of my all-time favorite products.

Title: Really nice as a lip oil!
Review: First off, I love the Clinique black honey balm, so I was excited to try the lip oil. Don’t be alarmed by the color! At first, I thought it would be way too dark, but you can adjust the intensity a bit with how much you apply. It’s a beautiful sheer plum sort of color, and it looks great on different skin tones. I have fair skin, so it’s a bit more pigmented (at least for me). Now, I know this can be used on your cheeks as blush, but I don’t use it in this way. It feels exactly like a lip oil on your cheeks, so I find that 1.) I don’t enjoy the texture/feel on my cheeks and 2.) it doesn’t provide enough color for my cheeks. So, as a lil oil, it’s great! As a cheek tint, there are better out there.

Title: Much lighter product than implied on the labeling
Review: When I ordered this I thought it might be too dark. But because it’s an oil, there isn’t as much pigment as you think. I’ve included a picture of my lips wearing the product. I like it, but because it’s so much lighter than what the box shows, and the name is “black honey”, I have to rate this lip and cheek oil as average — three stars.

Review: Having tried other Clinique Black Honey products, I was excited to try Clinique Pop Lip + Cheek Oil, Black Honey. The color looks extremely dark in the tube where it almost looks blackish-purple-brown, but it applies as a sheer berry that gives a natural, glossy finish. The color works really well! It’s moisturizing without being sticky. It’s versatile enough where you can build the color up or keep it subtle for a more natural look. It’s perfect on its own or layered over the Black Honey lipstick. I did not try it on my cheeks.

Title: Feels Great, Gorgeous Color
Review: I love this color! It really works well with my complexion and it has always been an ordeal searching for reds. The doe foot applicator has the balance between firmness and flexibility I like and does not have an excessive amount of product, This oil is emollient without out feeling greasy, which is a treat. Overall, this is a great lip and cheek oil. I’m very happy with it.
