Title: Stays on for Hours!!!! The color is the one I got in the picture.
Review: The pigment on this is great. It doesn’t fry out my lips like other lip stains. The texture feels good kind of like applying lip gloss but without the tackiness. The color pinkies up is cute and perfect for everyday. Functions very great and is smudge resistance. Once it drys it stays on for hours but when it times to take it off, you can wash your face and it comes right off. There is no dryness and the smell is good like not to over powering.

Review: Big fan in general of lip stains, but even if they don’t dry out your lips, they aren’t exactly moisturizing, and if you put a balm or gloss on top, then the stain wears off quickly. This ELF glossy stain is a pretty good solution, but it isn’t perfect.ProsMoisturizingSomewhat long lastingGood color selectionGood priceConTransfers quite a bitYes, it is long lasting even though it transfers. When first put on, it is glossy. No matter how long you give it for dry down though, all that gloss will come off on your cup or napkin.. If you keep drinking in that same place on your cup, you can end up with “joker mouth” and it is a stain on your skin 😬However, once all the gloss is gone, your lips are still stained evenly. They just aren’t glossy. I bought Power Mauves and find the left over stain seems a bit brighter than it looked when it went on, but I still like the color.

Title: nice stain, bad packaging.
Review: i like these since sometimes i don’t really like having the feeling of lipsticks on me. i got the cinnamon dreamz shade. lots of reviews said the way it stains is kind of purple and makes them look deadish or cold, but i think that comes down to undertone, and for the pretty shade i was willing to risk it for the biscuit 😋 turned out fine for me, neutral/olive tone. worn it twice already. i leave it for like 10-15 minutes (more like 20 bc i forgo the second time oops). nice color! lasts a while. i wear it with some lip liner & oil on top. however i’m docking a few points since the applicator is so frickin small… i’m gonna have to pop the thing open and use something else to get the remaining product out. the doe foot is also kind of skinny, so application is a little awkward (application was already sort of awkward since u have to be specific to keep the stain where u want it to be to not look odd…) also, the amount of product inside seems a little skimpy.. but what do i know. these are nice and i like them, but idk if i’ll be running to restock when they run out.

Title: High quality for a cheap price!
Review: I was looking for a cruelty free lip stain and was initially avoiding e.l.f since I haven’t been impressed with their lip makeup in the past, but HOLY this is my new favorite lip stain! Super lightweight and doesn’t dry out your lips, blends gorgeously with lip liner and other lip colors! It transfers easily which could be considered a downside, but it leaves behind a tint that looks even and natural so I don’t actually mind. The small size makes it super convenient to carry around and reapply throughout the day.

Title: Love it, but…
Review: Ok so I love this lip stain. It lasts a long time, you can layer it, and it doesn’t smudge. BUT every time I use it I end up with dry lips and painful cracks in the corner of my mouth. I tested it to make sure this stain was the cause and sure enough, it is! I wore it for 3 days straight, by day 3 I couldn’t open my mouth fully because of the cracks. I didn’t use it again for 3 weeks, no further lip problems. I wore it again yesterday and woke up to slight cracks in the corner of my mouth again. I have 2 colors, and have the same reaction with both. There’s something in this that is irritating or that I am allergic to, but I have no idea what.To heal the cracks I use a hydrocortisone cream that heals it fast, in case anyone else has the same reaction.

Title: Great for my Complexion: Light-med, cool w/blue undertones
Review: I was a bit concerned that the Berry Queen would look too purple, but also knew I needed a bit of that for my cool complexion. It’s a strong color but it’s controllable so I dap some off after applying and leaving for a moment.I use a little on my cheeks too when I am using on my lips. It does stain tho so blend out ASAP.I love stains most for my needs and this Elf one as been a godsend as it’s not as drying as any I’ve used before. I also love the Power Mauve, tho I do not feel it looks the same on me as any examples I’ve seen. It almost looks a bit peachy and far less blue than “Mauve” should be and a little lighter than I expected (again, on me at least).My lips have a more blue/soft mauve tint naturally. Mauve-like colors are what I’ve learned to look for, so this Berry Queen has the right amount of blue to really complement and not look out of place.I do find this color to be buildable, but the color will wear down a bit to a more subtle “stain” and need more applications to keep bold. Worth it for me because I can’t keep lip color on my lips to save my life.Side note: I’m all about French aesthetics and being as natural as possible/enhancing natural beauty. So if this is your thing, you may very much enjoy one of these stains!Reason for my 4 vs 5 stars: I like the applicator, but the packaging is so freaking wasteful. It’s my primary gripe with Elf in general. If I can find a clean beauty product that works the same (even if at a somewhat higher price point) with less waste, I will switch. I think they could do better.
