  1. Fun fact about the gummy bear scene: they originally used jellybeans, cause that's what he used in the book. Problem is after a few takes where they used them, they had to change it because Ben Affleck said they hurt like hell. So gummy bears it was.

  2. I just finished the book a few minutes ago. I've never seen the movie, but I came here for an analysis of it. Crazy ass book/story! But, from the clips you've shown from the movie, it looks even creepier! 😬
Edit/Addition: I do have to say that the book keeps it way more mysterious than it seems like the movie does. From the clips I've seen from the movie, it's almost obvious. The book keeps you guessing for quite a while and keeps you in the mode of detective, trying to figure it all out.

  3. one thing i liked about this movie was only able to manipulate naive upper class people with her shtick. She was so sure about how strong and cunning she was but once she stepped into the real world she was a weak, useless idiot.

  4. You know I do think there was a story like that it may not be based exactly on it there was a girl who went missing and like a long time later she came up again and they figured that she had faked her disappearance.

But I don't think it was anything like this I think the girl had been kidnapped or something either that or she just you know slipped her husband for a while but whatever they were united front in the public like this these two were. In a lot of people were suspicious I can't remember the name of that documentary I watched that time.

But I think this might be sort of based on it or loosely based on an idea of that and probably several other things where people will not missing and and the in her husband or the boyfriends always the suspect even though in a lot of cases they probably aren't the perpetrator. They act suspicious because they don't help or they're grieving so hard that they you know they don't see anything else. If you ever watched You you might see a good case of this there was a character in season 3 who really does not do any credit to himself even though he wasn't guilty of what they said he did.

Ben's character looks suspicious because he just don't care and like you said who would after having a wife like that. But she was pregnant and he's old-fashioned cheater or not.

That's kind of sad.. and he has to live with someone he doesn't love for the rest of his life and raise a baby with her or maybe more who knows.. mean she might keep this up for a while. Good video❤️

  5. Recently watched this film and I reacted the exact same wayy! like no this is too crazy she is crazyyyy. hate that they finally communicate in the end, like we could’ve avoided all of this dummies

  6. The author of the book is really good at multiple twists. And I appreciate that her female characters are multidimensional, she’s not afraid to make a complicated female villain. I straight up threw the book when I read the ending and yet I still highly recommend her and her books

  7. I don't think I could ever root for a woman like Amy or anyone in this movie….Margo I like tho and the Lawyer, and sometimes the policewoman but thats it
