The news stories Ive read on this differ on whetehr or not the bodies were actually in the car. IF the bodies were in the car, it seems likley they went off the road. If not, it seems likely that we know nothing about what happened to them and the you tube video by the man who found the say he "found them" but does not make it clear if he really did. Other news stories say no, just the car.

A self-funded, private citizen goes looking for these kids, searches a few areas, and finds them. Has to call it into the police who have been getting paid with taxpayer dollars every day for decades since the kids disappeared.
