May nanalo na! Si Rabiya Mateo bilang Miss Universe Philippines 2020. Pero ano nga ba ang kwento ng 24 year old stunner na ito? Ating kilalanin ang kanyang humble beginnings at ang kanyang journey bilang isang beauty pageant queen.

Who is Rabiya Mateo?
Humble Beginnings
Ipinanganak si Rabiya noong 1996. Ang kanyang ama ay isang muslim indian- american at filipina naman ang kanyang ina. May kapatid sya na lalaki na mas bata sa kanya, na ang palayaw ay Mokmok.
Ayon sa ulat ng pep, malaki ang hirap na pinagdaanan ng beauty queen noong nag aaral pa ito sa Iloilo Doctor’s College ng kursong Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy.
Pinagsabay ni Rabiya ang kanyang pag aaral at ang kanyang modeling career at nakayanan niya ito.
Noong August 2018 ay pumasa siya sa Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) board examination. Isa syang licensed physical therapist pero hindi pa sya nag papractice clinically.
Ang edukasyon at oportunidad ang naging sentro ng buhay ni Rabiya. Nagtrabaho siya bilang physical therapy lecturer at naging bahagi ng isang charity na tumutulong sa mga bata na nakatira sa dumpsite sa Ilo Ilo City.
The Road to Miss Universe Philippines 2020
Noong January 23, 2020 ay kinoronahan bilang Miss Ilo Ilo Universe 2020 sa Cultural Center of West Visayas State University sa La Paz, Ilo Ilo si Rabiya. Nanalo din siyang Miss Smart Communications, Miss Fiesta, Miss Mags at Best in Talent. Ito rin ang kanyang pinakaunang beauty pageant.
Sa preliminary interviews ni Rabiya ay sinabi niya sa mga judges na umaasa siya na manalo sa Miss Universe Philippines para mabigyan ng atensyon ang “Feed Me And I Read You” program. Kailangan nila ang madaming learning materials, pag siya ang magiging miss universe, ay makakahanap siya ng mga donors para sa proyekto.
Nagpasalamat naman ang asawa ng dating senador sa sagot na ito ni Rabiya. sa pamamagitan ng facebook page ay ipinaabot nila ang kanilang pasasalamat kay Rabiya.
Matapos niyang manalo noong weekend, october 25, 2020, ay agad may kontrobersya na ibinato kay Rabiya.
Sa isang virtual interview kasama si MJ Marfori ng TV 5, ay mangiyak ngiyak si Rabiya na inamin niya na hindi niya inaasahan na siya ang mananalo sa pageant.

Ang galing ni Miss Ilo-ilo sumagot.Talagang nakikinig siya ng mabuti sa tanong at nag-isip at nag analyze siya ng pabilisan ng ano dapat ang tumpak at dapat na sagot.Parang board exam.Dapat mag analyze ng mabuti kung ano ang pinaka the best na sagot.No wonder Kasi matalino siya,mabait,masipag humble,cum laude at higit sa làhat sanay na siya sa unexpected questions dahil review center teacher siya.Sanay na na siyang sumagot ng on the spot "in-ponto".Matalino talaga siya.Aside from that ang ganda Niya.Para siyang manika,ang liit ng mukha.Ang pinaka gusto ko sa kanya ay she is very FEMINiNE.Actually silang làhat ay magaganda.Kaso lang yung IBA ay parang transgender.
