As if last year’s Miss World finals being canceled last-minute wasn’t enough, Miss World is in danger of being postponed YET AGAIN because of a lawsuit between Miss World 2021: Stephanie Del Valle’s corporation (Reignite) and Puerto Rico with a Purpose.

Allegedly, Reignite is guilty of embezzlement and fraud.

I honestly hope that this doesn’t ruin the Miss World 2021 finals set to be held in Puerto Rico on 16 March 2022, but since Puerto Rico with a Purpose is the corporation in charge of Organizing the 70th edition of Miss World, this lawsuit might need to be settled before they can continue.

  1. Thanks Rina for the update. Like the Miss Universe editions in Florida and Israel, Miss World should have cut back its programing and shortened the stay of the delegates. Miss World went about its traditional activities as if no pandemic existed, e.g. fashion show, head-to-head final etc. I saw many pictures and videos where the delegates and audience weren’t masked. Had the 2021 program been significantly shortened, a pageant would have occurred and we would already have a new titleholder and, perhaps, this mess would not have existed. Remember, a longer pageant period – the higher the costs and the percentage increase of getting COVID.

  2. According to the Department of Tourism and the Director of the Convention District (that owns the MW Venue for the finals), the Stop-Payment was ordered by the government since PR with a Purpose and MW decided to cancel the pageant without any knowledge or consent from Reignite (Stephanie) or the government. Since these funds are Federal (US funds), the stop payment had to be maid to protect the federal funds from the contractual failure from PR with a Purpose and MW reps, since the contract was made directly between the government and Reignite, not PR with a Purpose or MW. PR with a Purpose took over the pageant from Reignite in December, two weeks before the pageant, the calendar was modified, activities (not previously scheduled) were added to benefit business men directly involved with the pageant and PR with a Purpose personnel. They took over the pageant from Stephanie and in my opinion took the advantage that Julia Morley was in quarantine due to Omicron, and did whatever they wanted with the pageant. That’s the real tea.

  3. MW pageant has really become a joke. The fact that they postponed the 2021 event just days before the final sounds really fishy. How could they have some staff and contestants test positive for covid? Didn't they get everyone tested or vaccinated before they all landed in PR? Also, PR had the least covid cases. There's something more than the MW organization is making us believe. Stephanie and Julia Morley are in some sort of feud, and that's why the pageant is getting delayed.

  4. Miss World should not be hosted in this small country of Puerto Rico. Now becomes such a mess. It will be better for next year Miss World to be held in London or Sanya.

  5. If they didnt cancel the finals night last December, problem is solved! Less expense will be incured! Proclaim Philippines as the winner, then next year Philippines will host Ms World for free!Just ask Mr Chavit Singson Julia! What will you get out of Cote d'Ivorie??? Cmon Julia think wisely! Just a sound advise…

  6. I also thought that there is something fishy beacuse postponing the show for march 16 is really questionable as a week or so was enough for its postponment

  7. Puerto Rico with a Purpose has already stated that Reignites' alleged failure to transfer the necessary funds is taking a toll on the execution of the Miss World pageant which is scheduled to happen in about a month. Is rescheduling inevitable? WATCH THE WHOLE VIDEO BEFORE COMMENTING ❤
