Interesting revelation. Can't say I'm entirely displeased with the change in order of prelim event order. But I'm confident in the Class of 2021 turning out women whose intellect matches their beauty. Whoever makes the final, we need to see Miss Universe level performances on stage because the winner goes immediately to Eiliat, with zero prep time. I was a little disappointed by my faves interview outfits. I did love Georgia and Illinois though!!! This class is insane and I have no idea what way this will go tonight!!!
Hi Dani, you look gorgeous BTW really beautiful a quick question is the USA still going to be sending a delegate to MU I really have been wondering because it all seems so late I mean girls have started to arrive in Israel I'm not sure with the competition starts but that's gonna be a really short turn around…the competition is going to be fierce because whoever wins has to be ready to step onto that MU stage…I'm excited! This is gonna be hot hot hot! I can't wait for your recap!

It will be interesting to see what the results will be for having the interview last. It is about time we have a competitive Miss USA that will break the top five.
There were so many all white looks this year!! I agree Arkansas, Connecticut, and Georgia looked incredible. I also loved DC, Florida, Indiana, Massachussets, and Oklahoma! I also have a soft spot for Washington but I’m biased!
I thought they now had 50% for interview and 25% for each of the other two sections. I also thought they had gone back to the old way of having Prelim Judges and another set for finals. Am I wrong?

Excellent video Dani! Loved the way you explained how the scoring affects results. People often forget interview and how the halo effect can carry you through. It will certainly be an interesting show with these changes.
Um that point about the order of scoring for preliminary is so true. I honestly didn't think about it but your so right. Can't wait to see what happens tonight.

I like that they do on stage first. That’s the exciting part of the pageant. Let the girls who are gorgeous and can walk and have style make it to The semis and final 5 and pick based off final question and brains at that point. That’s what Separates miss usa from miss America it’s BEAUTY and brains instead of BRAINS and beauty
Personality is also subjective. Can't forget judges may have biases against certain type of contestants no matter what they say or do in an interview. Also do these girls just wake up and look glamorous? NO!!!!!! A lot of work goes into "physical appearance." Glam, hair, wardrobe, pasarela and styling doesn't appear out of thin air. These require great skills, labor and so much more from all types of people so put respect on "Physical Beauty"
So the judges submit their scores after swimsuit snd then again after evening gown and cannot be altered? I had assumed that when it came to the first “cut” it was more subjective and considered the impression after all events, even to the point that the Miss USA organization itself has input.

Miss Kansas is stunningly gorgeous. Her mother (who was also Miss Kansas!) finished in the Top 3 at Miss USA 1993. . .maybe it's the pageant genes! I think Kansas is the ultimate dark horse of the competition.
I wondering what outfits was pre-bought for Miss USA at Miss Universe. I believe the winner would be able to fit into them without major alterations. (Very risky, hopefully will able to help her at Miss Universe.)
Do you think the reason of changing up the preliminary judging has anything to do with trying to produce a Universe winner? Yes or No and Why/How?
I think the org has told the girls to come to the pageant as if they were already Miss USA in Israel for the Miss Universe. Remember the winner won't even have a minute to be trained. Crowned on Monday, flown that same night to Israel.
When you say scores will based mainly on physical beauty does this discount fierce runway?
i was wondering what the crystle stewart era queen was going to be! since she took over, from her first interviews about the “changes” she wanted to make, i thought she was more of a 90’s/early aughts beauty/model director than the img era pretty girl with a purpose director. this potential scoring scenario would make total sense.
Could Miss USA can go to Israel since they just already close there boarder

The selection for MU USA this year has got to be one of the toughest. Not only many stunning delegates this year and the winner must be 100% MU ready and has zilch (“0”) time for preparation. She gets crowned & she immediately flies to Eilat Israel.

Is usa participating in universe this year kinda confusing since they are just about to crown a queen whilst other countries are already arriving at israel? Like would they fly right after her coronation? Would they have enough time to polish styling, natcos, technical polishing?.
The 2021 class is hands-down the best edition in recent years for me. There are quite a lot of them who are Miss Universe ready.
Also, I love Illinois' growth! Wow! She really blossomed so much from her stint at Teen USA 2018! ❤️
I’ve been loving the girls this year!! They all feel a bit more “real” to me versus what we’ve seen in the past.
