“Karlie Hay—aka Miss Texas—was crowned Miss Teen USA on Saturday night. The pageant was, as Chrissy Teigen pointed out on Twitter, remarkably homogeneous, with five similar-looking, blonde-haired and blue-eyed girls in the final five. But, as Teigen also noted, that is not the contestants’ fault.
What is one contestant’s (Karlie Hay’s!) fault, however, is her past propensity for using racial slurs on Twitter.
We now wait to see what, if anything, the Miss USA Organization does, and also whether its higher-ups will consider their own role in perpetuating the limited, limiting, lily-white American beauty standards that contribute in some way to the racist culture that taught a beautiful blonde girl from Texas that it was OK to throw racial slurs around on social media.”*

I must say this. She is a kid talking to her friends trying to sound hip, no malicious intent there from what I can see. I myself have been through some silly phase as a kid and done some of the dumbest things that could have gotten me arrested or expelled from school. In fact as a kid I did things that today could get me arrested as a terrorist. When we were perhaps13 or 14 we found a book in the trash at the library (chemistry) and discovered how to make gunpowder. Of course we did and tried to make a rocket and got into the mains at home and used the high tension to arch the carbon in a D-cell to ignite it. Today that sort of thing would get the cops at your door.So I wouldn't be too hard on her at all. Live and learn .

I don't think she's a racist, she was just being silly. It's easy to tell when someone's a national socialist or white nationalist. For one, they would never call their friends the n word as they truly believe that being black is the worst thing. They'll also try to spread their ideology through posts about how blacks are to blame for most everything in society. Personally, I say let her be.
I'd worry more about someone who DOESN'T use the n word but systematically posts about blacks in a negative light. Lots of smart national socialists out there who know better than to write the n word but you can tell who they are through their beliefs. She clearly has no ideology.
Word of advice to people of any race who do not support national socialism: Watch out for people who call themselves "race realists." They'll often avoid slurs as the idea is to bring NS ideology scientific credibility. These folks are the future of national socialism, that's why it's important that we concentrate on them rather than random teens.

It feels weird now as a black guy. I've seen all south americans; kids from Guatemala and etc., go around calling each other nigga while playing soccer. I knew them all but the shit just made me reflect like I didn't want to say it anymore.
This reminded me. In college, my friend & I loved visiting a certain coffee shop. One day, we are following the ritual, inhaling caffeinated goodness, & my friend's phone goes off. She thought it was her brother (look at the phone screen before answering it — nope, too difficult. Only blind flipping, only hardcore…) So, thinking it's her brother calling, she happily flips the phone open, and instead of saying "Hello…?" (which would be a very logical thing to do) she wails: "WHAT'S UP, MY N**?!!"
Holy hell, I have never (NEVER) seen emotions change on one's face so quickly… Because right after her "brilliant" greeting, she goes: "Oh…! Oh, hi, Mr. Smith!! I thought you were someone else…"
Once I realized what just happened I lost control of my bladder for a bit from both, laughing & crying… Mr. Smith was a professor from our department. And yes, Mr. Smith was black. He was very professional (and not vengeful), and he never tried "drowning" her during exams.
Point of this story — all racists are idiots; but not all idiots are racist. Sometimes, an idiot is just an idiot… /rant over

Alright, this is not a news story. Stop acting like it is.
as someone who was suicidal when they were 15, addicted to drugs, had depression and anxiety, a mother with the most painful condition known to medicine living in agony 24 hours a day (who also tried to commit suicide 3 times) Ana's comment about, "I don't know what kind of struggles a 15 or 16 year old pretty girl from Texas can have," is pretty freakin ignorant. just because someone doesn't have the same struggles as you, or because they don't have financial struggles (which, you don't know if her family even did have financial struggles or not), or looks related struggles (which again, you don't know if she did or didn't, or if she may have had an eating disorder, which is very possible for someone constantly being judged for her looks), or because she is white, Christian, young, etc. doesn't mean anything. especially when teenagers have one of the highest rates of suicide, and puberty/teen years are also very difficult for many people, as they first start to feel embarrassed or ashamed about all sorts of things.
Everyone needs to chill. It's her own twitter. Some black people find it offensive and some don't. You don't like it, get off her twitter. Goddamn people.

I actually respect how she apologized not by giving excuses or claiming the context was misconstrued but by admitting she was ignorant back then and she is more mature now. Whether or not she was being honest or just saying the diplomatic and appropriate thing is another matter
