I think the characters a politician must possess are being selflessness,patriotic and a God fearing individual because I truly believe that serving our country is not all about the fame, honor,respect and salary but a true politician has a dream to make the country progressive and has sustainability. A true servant is not base on what they say but on what they act and what inside their heart. And to all voters pls. The world is full of aspiring political leaders but sadly, very few live up to the leadership ideals. In fact, many political leaders seem to severely lack some of the most important leadership qualities, such as integrity and accountability. It is no coincidence that for many people, the word “politician” has such negative connotations! However, history – and present day – shows us that there are still a few who come close to the leadership ideals and who are good examples of an effective political leader.
There was a time and a place – perhaps long a go and far away -when politicians were respectable people. They were consulted for the names of the new-borns, or for waiting good wishes before a marriage, or even for hope with the new harvesting. If real, those times are gone, for good.
Politicians are in general, nowadays object of distrust and interest. Truth lies probably not any longer on the side of politicians, but elsewhere. They seem t be – well a necessary evil.
The times are ripe, it seems, for radically new politicians. If so, it all depends on us all, not on them
I believe that politicians should demonstrate a great ability to lead people to a more harmonious coexistence.

As far as i know the characterristics of a politician should be a good leader because a good leader is a self actualized leader. Self actualization is the highest form of human growth, someone who is self actualized is a fully functioning human being. In the past, I have written extensively about the characteristics of self actualized people which can be applied to this article, as well. But the characteristics below are unwaveringly related to a good leader. It is worth to pay attention to these and take them into consideration when we’re making a choice as to whom we chose as a leader. thank you

Ano nga ba ang mga katangian na dapat taglayin ng mga tumatakbo sa eleksyon o gustong maglingkod sa bayan
Una dapat may paninindigan
Ikalawa dapat may puso
Ikatlo dapat may takot sa diyos
Ikaapat dapat handang magserbisyo ng totoo.
Kaya ko nasabing dapat may paninindigan ang isang kandidato o politician dahil kung ano ang mga plataporma niya at adbokasiya simula una dapat mapanindigan niya ang mga yun hanggang dulo at bigyan ng pansin at dapat niyang maisakatuparan upang magkaroon ng ng isang maayos na komunidad at pamamahala
Kaya ko naman nasabing dapat may puso dahil sa pagkat dapat mahal niya ginagawa niya dapat taos sa puso ang paglilingkod niya.
Kaya ko namn nasabing dapat may takot sa diyos dahil ang Panginoon lamang ang tanging gagabay at magtuturo ng tamang landas.
Kaya ko naman nasabing dapat magserbisyo ng totoo dahil yun ang tanging dahilan kung bakit tayo may pulitika upang magkaroon ng mga taong maglilingkod sa bayan. Gagabay at magbibigay ng positibong mga paraan upang maging maunlad ang isang lugar.
" We are born to serve not to be served" kaya sa mga mananalong mga kandidato maglingkod po tayo ng naayon sa pinangako niyo. Walang puro salita bigyan natin ng gawa!

Well, ladies and gentlemen one of the Filipino Rights under constitution is Suffrage.And 7days more to go we judge whom our political aspirants will put into position that they deserve.But what should be the characteristics of our politician? First, When one think of CHARACTER that make us think of INTEGRITY and OPTIMISM.A leader whom always fair,corruption free and think for the better as a whole.All decisions is wise and comes from the heart.Second, a politician takes INTELLIGENT,LOYALTY and HONESTY.This is very important since minor to major problems awaits and the leaders should have this intellect capacity to uphold and solve problem and concerns.No one will remind him/her of what to do because He/she is loyal and Honest to serve it's constituents.Lastly, must have FEAR to GOD, because I believed that serving with God takes Good Governance.Thank You🤗

Now, in the new era of modern time in today's world, the politicians should have the necessary characteristics, which has the ability to competently and adequately accumulate express in the activity interests of the broad masses especially when it comes to LGBTQ community . They should provide an equal treatment and opportunities to mankind. No racism , no abuse, and no humiliation. Also, the politician should have an ability to constantly come up with new ideas, or to combine and improve them to where our economical status will grow. In addition, a politician should have an ability to value the meaning of humanity to where they don't need to degrade someone's ability instead helping them to have courage and believe in their self-esteem . Furthermore, a good politician should confidently empower and uplift the "quality over quantity" to where they need to help one another, if hand in hand is needed just to make our country progressive ,then, they should apply it. These characteristics are the best that a politician should possess. We were surrounded by prujudice people so we should not tolerate them by our arrogance and apathy, instead , let a good politician educate them by the use of proper manners. All we need to do is to a apply and put into action of what a philosopher Democritus said " A good governance is not handling a book, but reading into it and making positive changes that good for the welfare of everyone." A politician don't need to be bias but to be give fairness among all. Thank You💕
Election is fast approaching, and it is the time for us to pick the right one who can change the status of our country for us to progress in many aspects. The most important characteristics a politician may possess are: He/She may politically alert to help those in needs even though that person came from another party list. Yes! Why should I say so? Because in this very point of time politician who win choose a person who he/she would able to help for especially those people who vote for her/him. He/ She reject those people who don't vote for him/her even though that person is in need of his/her help. Second, He/She must have a good leadership, its important for us to have a politician who has a good leadership. By that we citizens on that certain place would not be able to be shy to seek for his/her help, because a person who has a good leadership is always be an humble one. And lastly, it would definitely be the important characteristics of a politician may have is that honestly. Yes! It will! Because in all aspects of our life may politician or not there will always be a temptation for us,and that temptation is money. Just like what I've said "money would always be an apple" if that politician has a strong will, a good heart and honestly just to serve for our country it would definitely he/she will never be a corrupt one that can lead us to the poverty of the certain place we lived. Being a student officers in our school we need to be creative and innovative also be a good model to influence others to do rights things , also having a good mind set for decision making to know if it's wrong or right,
