When Miss Celete was choking up and slightly getting emotional from talking about her mother on her Q and A portion, I really felt her sincerity coming through.
She almost got me tearing up because I feel the same way every time I had to be separated from my mother since she would often go to a different place for medical treatment due to her health conditions and she would transferred from one hospital to the next while I had to stay behind and focus on my education.
Throughout those times of separation, the fear and loneliness was immeasurable and having to communicate on the phone was never enough, I wanted to hug my mother, feel her warm and secured embrace around me, I missed how loud she laughed and how bright her smile was.
I wouldn't see her for months while I could only visit her during sembreak or summer but then I had to go back home so I could resume my studies so our time and memories together were very limited when her condition worsened.
I would have abandoned my education just to spend more time with her but she didn't agree because I shouldn't throw that opportunity away is what she said so I obeyed her as any obedient child would do but those borrowed time and moments with her was the most precious thing I ever had, it was torture not being able to spend more time with her and I hated that in her last moments on Earth, I didn't get the chance to repay all the kindness, unconditional love and support that she had shown and given to me.
Just like what Miss Celeste said if time did ever stop, I'd gladly just spend it being by my mother's side and relive our happiest moments together, I missed her so much and the pain never subsided, I don't know if I'll ever get over the loss and numbness from my mother's passing but everyday I'm healing and finding the strength to keep moving forward because that's what my mother wants for me too.
My mother will always be my greatest strength.
