Cassidy Wolf should be on top of the world after being crowned Miss Teen USA Saturday in the Bahamas. But the 19-year-old is using her newfound fame to reveal a very dark private struggle.
Four months ago, Wolf, a California native, was notified that someone had tried to log into her Facebook account from a different state. Shortly after, she received an anonymous email from someone claiming to have hacked into the webcam on the computer in her bedroom. The stalker tried to extort the teen saying the photos would not be made public in return.
“I wasn’t aware that somebody was watching me [on my webcam],” Wolf, who was targeted before she’d won her national title, told Today.com. “The light [on the camera] didn’t even go on, so I had no idea.”
Instead of giving in to the threats, the teenager went to the authorities, who are now investigating the case. Because it is under federal investigation Wolf cannot reveal what types of photos were taken of her, or what the person tried to extort, though she did tell Fox News they captured things a person does “in the privacy of their own room,” when they’re not expecting to be watched.

I do think it's creepy. It's unfortunate that the media will only report something like this if it happens to a celebrity. Lots of ordinary people who aren't famous are victims of hacked cameras. They make too many cameras. Apple, Microsoft and every company that makes electronics should give people an option to buy a product that doesn't have a camera in the first place. I have a laptop, and it doesn't have a camera. I haven't bought any mobile devices because it's creepy that they have built-in cameras. Someone could be watching you, listening to your phone conversations and watching you type your credit card information. Why do the computer companies have to put cameras in everything? A phone does not need a camera. If you want to take pictures, you can just by a camera. I'm just waiting for a new story similar to this one come up, except it's related to video games. Why do video game systems need a camera? It's invasive, and it's unsafe.

Once someone did the same almost thing with the woman and the webcam but i wasnt doing things i wasnt supposed to he type in skype chat what ive been doing on my account and i got really mad so me and my friend learned everything and i finally hacked him back he was making love to the bed and i recorded it and i said man dont be doing mean things or ill be your worst nightmare

Put tape delete you put your family pictures on a meory stick and deleted those photos on your computer or anything and put safety on or change your wifi password and put tape on your webcam
No virus scanners will work for these types of problems. watch this video to see whats happening to you behind the secnes when you notice your webcam is on. (sometimes you do not even notice it)

Its really not that hard to hack into someones web cam but it is also very easy to tell if someone has done it to you. It's called a little light indicator it always turns on when your cam is on. Or if your super paranoid just turn off the cam imbedded into your laptop completely by going into your control panel settings. To be honest If someone really wanted to sit there and watch me bad enough let them I have nothing to hide and my laptop/computer are in my basement and there is nothing important anywhere around there or if they wanna get off by watching my sexy ass play my xbox one or my computer nude let them I dont care I have no shame.

People it's true, there are ways to hack webcams and baby monitor. it's done bye Software and Programs, I am not scared. because I know some what about computers and what hackers use and what they can do. just note keep your Personal Information off the Internet. They have Key logger's, which they can find out what you have typed Email and Passwords, never download anything off the Internet. Trust me. they spy on you and see what you are doing or playing. Just look up DarkComet rat program. and watch what they can do to you and your family. Trust no one on the Internet.

Both 360 and ps3 consoles cameras have been hacked already. So no doubt the next gen will be the same. You can hack any camera with a internet connection. Including your front facing cam on your mobile phone.
