It was very obviously rigged
I don’t buy that it’s rigged but it is odd that all the other contestants walked off the stage. The video commercial was after that so I think there’s some other reason they weren’t being supportive. Maybe they just didn’t like her. Maybe they were all jealous because they could sense she was performing better.
Miss Texas was my favorite from the beginning, she really standout. So it is understandable the bitterness of a couple of contestants who by the way explain with their attitude the reason why many times the prettiest one don’t win.
I did JR Miss in HS to get a scholarship- I am definitely not the pageant type and all my lady peers saw it- but I was doing what I could to get that $ while being myself. The girl who won over all confronted me after the show- she was pissed. Why? She rallied every other lady to vote me as "Spirit of Junior Miss" and the award went to someone else when she knew she locked it down- the organizers disagreed with their decision. That was a really strange moment to experience. I didn't win anything at all but also a big thing I couldn't really comprehend at the time- acceptance and respect from my lady peers. Corruption happens but maybe this is a sign that greater transparency is to come.
Honestly doesn't surprise me at all a LOT of these shows are rigged the winner is preselected!
