Exploring abandoned places is my hobby and finance it all out of my own pocket and the donations I get from the people who love watching the documentaries we make… A small donation would be greatly appreciated! ►

The abandoned house of the German Focht Family is a place that redefined our definition of what an abandoned home can be, it has been a decade since the last inhabitant Misses Ada passed away and she left all her belongings in doing so. Now 10 years later, everything still remains inside the house and the strangest of all is that the electricity still turns on. Together with her husband Wallace she started living here in the 1930s and over the course of six decades, they raised four beautiful children, got married, and lived a long life with countless memories. Unfortunately, her husband passed away in the 1990’s leaving her to fend for her own. She lived here in relatively good health until the year she turned 102, at this point, she was called to leave planet earth and her beloved house.
Today we will show you the remains of what once was their everything!

Thats not Egypt. Its Jesus feeding the hundreds….
The knobs on the stove are adorable. They look like little owls…
14:51 The picture on the radio looks to be late 19thC, so most likely Ada's mother (or her husband's mother), possibly even a grandmother? Likely someone born in the mid-1800s. And in mourning dress.
At 9:33, the wedding photo is from the 1960s, so likely the wedding of one of Ada's children.
It breaks my heart to see all the family photos left to decay in these abandoned houses. Whilst many people are not sentimental about such items, it is possible that someone in the family may value the images, and it is sad they will likely perish.
As for the TV, no channels being picked up is likely because the broadcast signal changed from analogue to digital at some point.
Sirs, those weren’t rocks.they were actually pieces of the ceiling that fell down overtime,Americans don’t put rocks in their houses because that’s dirty and almost of us like to clean our houses.
The picture above the dining room table in the kitchen Is actually a prayer some Americans use,and it’s to show god their appreciation of having food while others might not have it,it’s not meaning to be offensive to those who don’t have food, just a prayer of appreciation to be able to get it
BiCentennial means 1776 to 1976 was 200 years since America was founded. It was a huge deal with many items created during this time period quite collectible in today's market if you can find them. 32:24 … The metal photo is known as a tintype the others are called carte de visite cabinet cards.
23:15 You seem quite naive young fella. 😂Even these days, millions of Americans go hungry, so "don't have enough food".
"Facts about hunger in America. According to the USDA, more than 34 million people, including 9 million children, in the United States are food insecure."
That house is a history house well kept.
Who gets house and belongings
Is there anyway to contract the family…I guess in this case find the grandchildren and tell them there are precious family photos left. I'm guessing they don't even realize they're there or even that the house still stands.
😂😂😂You are so funny guys when you switch on the vacuum machine. Thanks for sharing your explorer of the old house left behind I just across to your channel what amazing life of Miss Ada Wallace
Love the Christmas tree
This home taken me back in those days I love vintage 😍 💕 stuff I hope no one don't disturb the home decor
These guys didn't see that there was a no trespassing sign outside
First time I watched you, loved it
Amigo asi te das cuenta i se las cosas de antes duraban para siempre
The chairthat you called a chamber pot is a bedside commode
Thank you for what you do but it's clear where your from as often one from there finds offense with the things of God.
I loved watching this video of Adas home. The toilet chair upstairs is called a Comode i think though the spelling is not accurate. The newer singer sewing machine closes like my vintage Elna !!! I had to smile realising I'm also on my way to being vintage. I love your enthusiasm- thank you both for sharing these remarkable videos 🌻
You guys should try Barq's Rootbeer when you are here in The United States
What a beautiful house! If you clean it a little (vacuum cleaners enough) and redecorate you can move in in no time! Free electricity, hahaha!
i have come across you guys , You are both very kind, although you guys not worried about opening doors for unkind guests
That glass of milk…
I just wonder if anyhow children are still alive what happened to her children but what a great great nothing you did on that house thank you
Wat nou, als ik een verlate gebouw bezoek en spullen mee neemt, is dit diefstal of zorgen dat het object beter bewaard blijft?
what's so amazing is the roof has not leaked. so mostly what needs to be done is cleaned and painted and it would be livable!
I bet that Electrolux still works
enjoyed this thank you
Lovely presentation, wow what a life and so long I loved this I'm loving your visits here, so wonderful you explore and entertain us keep going you are finding really great houses.
Fascinating that the electric company never turned off the electricity. Clearly they missed it. I’ve seen that happen before but it’s rare
How is the electric still on ? Why would someone pay the bill.
I love that old house style, and all the old treasures in it. Makes me feel at home, and makes me miss my granny and daddy. I miss all that so much!
Lots n lots of people used to buy an almanac booklet, whether they were farmers or not.
Someone is paying the electricity. But if your not using it at all then then it doesn't cost you anything they might just get a bill for 25 cents after you turned that stuff on lol
My impression is you must be quite close to your mother. And that's a good thing! I think that because it takes a woman to teach a real appreciation of others, of their belongings, and of the lives they have lived. Taking those lessons to heart is a RARITY in people of any age. You possess empathy even for those you have never, and will never, meet. You place VALUE upon the past and upon the lives of others who are long gone. It's a wonderful form of "remembrance."
Thank you for sharing this beautiful old home 🏡 I would love those dresser, dishes and dining set
Fue maravilloso ver la casa de Ada lastimosamente se quedó sólita eso me entristeció, muchas gracias por los subtitulos en español 💋💋💋
Why is the Electric still on? is someone paying for it to stay on ??? 🤷♀️
The silvery gray paint is like where I live- all the old houses have layers of silvery gray paint and green paint- it's from the WWII era. They were the most common colors bc they were for military things. Also the last radio looked like a little transistor radio.
Find the antenna! Try to jiggle the horizontal or vertical hold! That's how we did it with our old tv!
The poem says dirty dishes remind them to be thankful for what they have. Dirty dishes mean you have food to eat, so you shouldn't complain about having to wash them!!! You misunderstood it 😉 Also, you use rugs, but not carpets". Carpets go wall to wall, rugs are area rugs, throw rugs, rag rugs, persian rugs, etc.
