Several Miss USA 2022 contestants took to their social media to protest the possible rigging of the pageant finals that took place last October 3 in Reno, Nevada. They also criticize the Miss USA Organization for having mistreated them.

The scandal revolves mainly around the winner from Texas, R’Bonney Gabriel, whom many believe had been pre-selected as the winner.

The contestants insisted that they do not harbor any hatred against the winner but that they demand an explanation from the Miss USA Organization about the perceived manipulation of the final results.

In this vlog, I give my thoughts about the controversy alongside the testimony of Miss Montana USA 2022 Heather Lee O’Keefe.

  1. R’Bonneys questions were tailored to her. She said “There are 8 ways to obtain substainability…” and I’m like who thinks of 8 ways just off that bat. That also seemed suspect.

  2. It was really wrong of them to use the video without knowing the story behind it just to justify their allegations towards the org.. It made them sore losers tbh. They're saying that they're against the org not the winner but low-key they're attacking the winner.
They can call out the org or file a case against them but pls spare the winner from the bruhaha. She deserves the crown. Everyone who got to watch the finals night saw it.

  3. RBonny she is very humble person. She deserved the👑. Unlike the other candidates they can't accept being losser. Good luck to MU Stage RBonny, you are truly the winner as Miss USA.😄✌🇵🇭🇺🇸

  4. District of Columbia was robbed and yes I think the Pageant was rigged I will be supporting South Africa and Cambodia I hope Miss Texas will lose the Miss Universe Pageant

  5. These ppl saying that these miss USA contestants are better they don’t know anything about their experience you’re standing up for injustice

  6. There is a brand new Instagram post by a pageant contestant from 2021 who claims that she was sexually assaulted "at" Miss USA, and that there was a cover up. She challenges last year's winner who just stated that there was jealousy about her win. Instead, this 2021 contestant and several others that year were hurt by the sexual harassment and the sexual assault that was taking place, and being covered up, during the 2021 Miss USA pageant event. – there have always been the 'rumors' of sexual demands placed on contestants for Miss USA contestants in local areas across the USA, but to have something this major, and this horrific, take place at "the" top Miss USA event is truly bad. We just might be witnessing the demise of this Organization, from within.

  7. No, was not rigged. Her state title holder actually knew the company manager and sent her to his spa post state-competition. The commercial would have come out whether or not she won Miss USA.

  8. Stop supporting blindly just because the winner is of fillipino descent no one is calling her out. Whosoever is speaking out are against the organisation. The organisation is to be blamed

  9. America is NOT just black and white—- these jealous and bitter karens and felicias need to stop spreading the hate on social media with their lies…. Accept defeat and move on! Don't be a Donald Trump! 👈👈🤪🤪 Pinoy Pride!! 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🫡

  10. All these rigged & favoritisms allegations boils down to one thing, racism bcuz Miss USA 2022 is an Asian American (half Filipino & American) which the contestants were bitter, sour graphing and found everything unfair. Beauty Pageant contestants should accept if they were not chosen as the winner and not resort to finding faults. If these bitter beauty contestants cannot accept defeat then they should never try joining beauty pageant since there will always be one winner or title holder.

  11. If she and the other candidates had issues about the pageant, they should have taken it up with the organization, not on social media. If that didn’t work, she has a JD and according to her, there are lawyers among them too, then they should have filed a case against the org. She raised some valid issues, but much of what she said just showed everyone why she didn’t win. Even if she were allowed to re-compete, would the Miss USA org, the Miss Universe org or any pageant sponsor want to work with someone who does something like this?

  12. Miss USA / Miss Universe has, in my humble opinion, become an empty shell of what it once was.

    (1) No major US cable TV network broadcasts Miss USA. One must try to find an online source to watch the pageant.

    (2) No one wants to hire either Miss USA or Miss Universe to do anything or travel anywhere throughout the entire year of their reign. This was painfully revealed during the recent Miss USA pageant when Miss USA and Miss Universe were both asked what they had done this past year, and neither had anything to say or show. Miss USA's big accomplishment was that she moved to LA. Miss Universe into her NY apartment. Check their individual Instagrams. There are no trips or travels or involvements in causes – not like what winners used to do. They both did nothing all year long. Their years (and the years prior for other recent winners) have been completely empty of any deeds or accomplishments. This means that "zero money" has been coming into the Miss USA / Miss Universe Organization all year long during the past few years.

    (3) Most damning has been the recent news from the company that has owned Miss USA and Miss Universe these past couple of years stating that they are ready to essentially "dump" the pageant to anyone who will buy it. They are searching for anyone who will take Miss USA / Miss Universe off their hands. The company has admitted they've invested zero money into the pageant and have shown no interest in it. They want to let it go.

With the recent Miss USA win there have been a number of controversies. When Steve Harvey mis-called the Miss Universe winner that was one single "oops" that nearly crashed the pageant. With this most recent Miss USA pageant there are more than a half dozen real oddities that are truly concerning that should be investigated and explained. – not just by having the current winner state on E! News that everything was truthful. Amber Heard would say the same about her marriage to Johnny Depp. There should be a real investigation into each and every allegation that has arisen out of this most recent Miss USA. To not do so creates a public perception of a cloud over every winner going back in time to possibly the very first win. Clearing the pageant of all of these allegations and cleaning up house could start attracting companies and countries to once again want to invest in the pageant winners by inviting them to events and causes, which has recently effectively declined to "zero" invitations these past few years.

"If" this particular contest was rigged, the question would be "why". – in my opinion an answer might be that the immediate heads of the pageant are seeing the writing on the wall. As I've stated above, their pageant days may be numbered as, from the inside, their pageant is falling apart due to zero income, zero interest, and the lack of involvement by their corporate owner, possibly to disappear forever. Miss USA / Miss Universe wouldn't be the first major pageant to vaporize off the face of the planet.

So, what are they to do? Are they desperately attempting to gain the attention of a 'buyer'? Someone specific who will save this pageant, and, save their jobs & their salaries? To me, that would obviously be a pageant-loving nation from the Far East. I felt that Thailand hosted possibly the best Miss Universe pageant I have personally seen in recent years. It was incredibly glamorous. Vietnam is also very active in the pageant world and has a huge fan base. But, I personally recall, when the Miss Universe pageant ended a few years ago 'in' the Philippines, the current pageant directors could not speak highly enough about how well they were treated 'in' the Philippines. It would, I believe, be 'a dream' for the current directors if the Philippines were to somehow take over the Miss Universe (Miss USA) pageant. Filipinos "LOVE" pageants. If they somehow intentionally & illicitly caused a Filipino to win this year's Miss USA pageant this would be like sending a bright flashing light and a loud blaring alarm to the Philippines saying they want to make a deal with the Philippines about their pageant: "Please buy us!!!! We're ready to make a deal!!!" We shall see what happens next.

  13. Rigged? When the past winners were blacks everytime, are they rigged as well? Nobody says negatively. Now suddenly an Asian Filipina wins the crown and they call names! BS! Racism at it's best. She will win the MU 22 and show those racists MF.

  14. Hi. There's no mystery about this issue, it's not even an issue, and R'Bonney has nothing to explain, nor does the sponsor. I have been in advertising all my life and this is what is called as a brand pre-emption move, and is done by brands in very competitive categories. Back in 1994 during the Ms. Universe pageant here in Manila our client who was then one of the sponsors of the pageant told us that the moment Misses Thailand and India arrived in Manila that we are to meet with them for the purpose of shooting a TV & magazine commercial with them. They gave us a copy of the contract with the MUO as well as the talent managers/handlers of the two delegates. Everything is above board and there's nothing illegal about the setup. Otherwise, we would not have allowed ourselves to get involved. The client further said that we are to air/release the ads the day after the winner is crowned. Thailand did not make the cut but India did and eventually, she won. So that same evening after her crowning we edited the raw footage of what we shot 3 weeks before, laid in the music and effects, and inserted the client's brand. We then sent it via courier to ABS-CBN for airing the following day. Since Thailand did not win we gave her an edited copy anyway so she could take it back home so that her material could also be aired in Thailand. Our client's brand, a soap product, pre-empted its competition and they were very happy. We got a huge commission in the process. So no worries and again, there's no issue. But what if India did not win either? Well, that's the risk the client is willing to take. The material is canned, and the girls get a copy as a souvenir. We get paid for the production costs and that is that.

  15. R'Bonney already answered all the rumors on E! News., she joined miss TX 3x before being crowned and has a strong charity organization that was founded by her. She's a strong front runner so why do they complain??? They can't accept that a asian-american won the Title 🙄

  16. When both Miss NY USA and Miss NJ USA began speaking out, you def know something happened 😂😂 R'Bonney is a good winner. The org just didn't hide the favoritism well. Pageants are rigged to some degree; we just turn a blind eye when our bets win.

  17. Elle Smith(Miss USA 2021) had already spoken. She said the moment R'Bonney won Miss Texas, she is already a CLEAR FRONTRUNNER. Therefore, sponsors will come to her. Either she lose or win, the endorsement will push through and will be made public (according to Elle) although it was a bad timing to release it immediately. Elle was very disappointed to these group of girls. It's almost just like the same when she won last year as Miss USA and it was happening again. She felt sorry and worry for R'Bonney's mental health. She added that no matter explanations these girls saying that R'Bonney was out of this issue, R'Bonney will still be affected because she's(Elle) been there in that position before. She also added that though R'Bonney is a frontrunner, it is up to her if she will perform well and she did.
