  1. Wow you are really good in reviewing the gowns. Anyway, imo Miss Baguio and Miss Pasay are the standout gowns followed by Miss Albay's gown. But your cat is the most beautiful cat ive seen in the frame and I love cats. lol

  2. I love MUPH gowns pero ang nanalo for me sa araw na yan ay si Iris…. Ganda nung gown nya lalo na yung Sarimanok inspired ni Francis Libiran… Dapat yun yung sinuot ni Bea sa Miss U…

  3. Kat's gown is the best for me. Top 2 Celeste and Julia (yes very Bob Mackie for Cher nga!). I'm a fan of Chico Estiva kulang lang ng star power si girl to carry that beautiful creation. I love all his gown for Leren.

  4. for me the hair of Chantal is all the same style …start to gown portion of the pageant…the time of cebu city must try another hairstyles for new look

  5. Nobody can touch Tita Lavinia when it comes to this kind of analysis. The eye to detail, references and research no other vlogger even attempts.
Love the variety this year- even Albay's risque number. I appreciate it more now that it is indeed a link to Mackie and Cher. Baguio regretfully succumbed to the "lucky gown" syndrome (it worked in the past so why deviate? ) A different silhouette would have shown range and she could have penetrated top 5. Chantal's black number from prelims would have killed on the finals stage and ironically the gown she wore this night would have popped in that dark prelim setting. Finally, what to say about "Pearlgate"?… It happens.
Finally, production should have briefly let all 31 ladies parade every gown at the beginning of the long gown segment and then return for the crowning just like in MU. That would have given honor and respect to all the talented designers and stylists as well.

  6. Tita only YOU could pull off a detailed EG review. The topic is right in your wheelhouse and it shows. Kahit na yung cross referencing was impressive, and it really made me appreciate the gowns much more. Thank you for this review ❤

I think overall major improvement ang EGs this year than last year's collection. Pauline and Lou's gowns were better than the gowns they wore during their first try. As for Celeste's gown created by Val Taguba, I notice that his gown silhouettes are pretty identical (Kathleen Paton's and Rachel Peters' silver MU Gown). I hope they think outside the box for Celeste's final MU gown and come up with a something unique and will blow our minds.

  7. Gowns na 50/50 for me:

Aklan – ganda sana ng fit nung gowns niya kaso parehas dull ung color.

Iloilo Province – parang okay ung yellow gown niya nung prelims sa styling niya nung finals.

Misamis Oriental – Maganda sana ung kulay ng gowns niya (Midnight Blue & Silver/White nung prelims at Rusty Orange nung finals). May kulang lang sa make ng mga gowns.

Ilocos Sur – masyadong simple ung prelims gown niya, too busy naman nung finals.

    Sana prelims gown na lang:

    – Bohol
    – Makati (Standout sana ung kulay if ever)
    – Cebu City
    – Palawan
    – Laguna
    – Nueva Vizcaya (ang heavy tignan ng gown na pinili ng team niya).

Thank you for changing your gowns:

Albay – TY (naalala ko din ung gown ni Honey Cartasano sa gown niya)

    Taguig City
    Baguio City
    Iloilo City
    Pasay City
    Cebu Province

  8. Kaya proud na proud akong i-promote ka Tita sa mga Pageant FB pages kasi ikaw lang ang Pageant Vlogger na nakakagawa ng intricate and honest review!!! Wala nang iba!! HINDI NILA KAYA!!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

  9. I'm a stan of Annabelle Mcdonnell but I would really like her team to reconsider her designer the next time she joins a pageant. Preamble : I'm no designer and no expert on fashion, this is just my opinion. Her styling has always been her biggest bane during this competition. I've watched a lot of pageant vloggers and they all say constantly that she needs to work on her styling. What I've noted is that she has been wearing the creations of her main designer all throughout her stint, Jermaine Nabong. I think the designer does very well with casual wear as I've seen in his IG page but he doesn't seem to have a good handle in what works in a pageant gown. I was just thinking, if Annabelle won and she decided to stick with this designer, I can't imagine that the gowns he would create would be at par with the gown designs on the international stage. I'm sorry but the gown she wore for her prelims has a tad bit Ms. Barangay feels. Now imagine Annabelle in the gown that Pauline Amelinckx wore in one of her IG photos inspired by the little mermaid. It was purple and sexy and Pauline had a reddish orange wig on. That would have been a sight to behold for Annabelle no? Please please Annabelle, work on your styling because I know that your intelligence and beauty can conquer the universe. 🙏😔❤️

  10. me thinks that the yellow EG of Baguio impacted on her final q&a…. Expounding on the significance of her favorite color while wearing another kinda triggers people to go into critical thinking mode? Just an opinion…. Shalom….😇

  11. Hi tita, seeing these gowns closer, I felt Ms. Nueva Viscaya's original gown should have been approved. I know it's because of the sponsor and all but I hope the organization clarified it at the start of the competition (?). Parang nasayangan ako sa effort nung designer for the specific candidate. But great video!

  12. Hi Tita I really love your gowns analysis .. I always look forward to it after every major pageant … I think for Miss Ilocos Sur she should have worn a gown similar to Miss Venezuela 1992 Carolina Iszaak’s turquoise flowy gown .. which would have given her more elegance and competitive edge .. are you able to do an edit hehe

  13. Aside from that "celestial glory" of a gown by the newly crowned queen, the one that captured my interest is that of Julia. You're on point with those refetences from Bob Mackie to Mata Hari but what came to my mind when I saw it a was this Orientalia aura more like those in a sultan's oda which is a harem and hence, that's what pops out in my mind – the Harem gown!
While Ilocos Sur might have elicited the "real entertainment" of this part of the contest, I thought right away, MUP had their version of Harlene Budol. Pageants after all are not that different from each other.
From a distance, I find Iloilo Province rather so simple and I was thinking if they had put something right at the centre where the bodice and the skirt meet like perhaps a diamond motif to make that "bare red" gown a bit of an embellishment.
You're right: Chantal's gown like that of Vanessa looks rather bare and I was thinking again if they had put something of a bright and intricately designed nevklace that could have made a great impact! I just dont know if that might not pass the org's approval owing to a soonsor's confluct of interedt.
And finally, I was imagining how the Harem gown would look on Celeste. Would it be too sexy fir her since the Camp seems to be trying to downplay
that sex appeal element from her? And how about the verh ckntroversial gown that Nueva Viscaya failed to wear? Could that be finally worn by this year's winner in Las Vegas?
