Title: Absolutely Beautiful
Review: I got this dress for a formal event (masquerade ball) and it was perfect. It fits great, is flattering and best of all, it has pockets! I tried on a lot of dresses for the event, but as soon as I put this on I knew I had found my dress. I did have to go up a size but once I did, it fit perfectly. I was concerned that the off-the-shoulder fit might slip or gap, but it did not (there seemed to be some structure to the ‘sleeves’ that kept it in place but was not uncomfortable). The only issue I had with the dress is that it was a bit too long but that is nothing a tailor can’t fix. The dress is not overly skimpy but is not matronly or ‘mother of the bride’ looking (although it would be a great MOB dress). Honestly, it is truly gorgeous – if you are thinking about this for a formal event you have upcoming, just go ahead and get this – you won’t be sorry.

Title: Gorgeous
Review: Picture does not do justice. Runs small!! Wish the back had a corset instead of zipper. Had to have it altered but this dress is stunning. Needs to come in larger sizes due to the way it’s made but still a beautiful dress.

Title: Not very comfortable
Review: Waited too long to get this returned but decided last minute before my son’s wedding that it is just too uncomfortable. The day is going to be very hot and this material does not stretch at all. It is a gorgeous dress but if you plan to dance or raise your arms at all, you will be very uncomfortable. Fortunately I have a back up dress to wear. So wish I could return it. Need to sell it on eBay or something!

Title: Ridiculous sizing
Review: My stats: I’m 5’8″, 155-160 lbs, and I carry all my junk in my trunk. My chest is a 34 or 36B, and my hips / booty are maybe 40″. Broad-shouldered pear.Both Amazon and the Alex Evenings website suggested a size 10.First try: size 10 in the silver / multi. I *swam* in the size 10. The silicone to hold the bodice up didn’t even connect to my skin. And the silver flowers have a light blue background, not ivory. If you have blue eyes you will dazzle in this dress, but it wasn’t great with my skin tone. Going back.Next try: Size 8 in the mauve. This dress is truly pinky-purple mauve with tawny gold metallics. It’s beautiful and more flattering to my brown eyes and warm undertones. But the size 8 is *still* big. The silicone is closer to gripping my skin at the top, but still not great. I had enough time to get the bodice taken-in a little and got so many compliments.But really, the sizing of this dress is ridiculous. And there’s no stretch – you may need time to get the sizing right. I hope my review helps you nail it the first time, it is a lovely dress.

Review: Purchased for my son’s wedding. Very well made. Looks better in person than online. Was very impressed with the quality. Had to have it hemmed but the bodice fit well. Overall was very satisfied with this purchase.

Title: Wrong size received
Review: The dress is as displayed however I ordered size 14 and while the confirmation as well as the packing list showed the correct size(14), the actual size shipped was a 12 which is too small. Hence my reason for the 2 stars. Very disappointed.
