  1. I think pageants lost a lot of love after Americans watched the series toddlers and tiaras. We got so much negativity from putting my granddaughter in beauty pageants . Everyone thinks that all pageants are like that series . They think young girls and young women are basically forced by the mean ol mom to live out her dream . Itโ€™s really very sad . That may not be all of it . But it definitely changed the way people viewed things .

  2. Hi! I am a lifelong pageant fan AND I have also have worked in the entertainment business over 15 years. The pageant fan in me wants to agree with everything you said but the Hollywood executive in me knows or has an idea why things are how they are. It would not have been wise for Ari Emanuel and William Morris/Endeavour (or anyone else for that matter) to invest in the amount of money it would cost to produce a TV show leading up to Miss USA or Miss Universe. The investment would not be worth the return because it's a brand that, sadly, has been dying for quite some time in the U.S. The way decisions are made is not from a "we will build it and hope they will come" POV, it has to be from a "there's a demand so let's get to shooting cause fans are chomping at the bits for it!" Fans may be chomping at the bits in France and the Philippians but not in the U.S. Think of it this way, the entire world is obsessed with soccer, but what do we watch in the U.S.? Football!! Should networks try to change the habits of the U.S. audience in the hopes they'll start liking soccer OR invest in what they're already obsessed with?…….On another note, I think a big dip in ratings is also due to people cutting the cord on cable and no longer needing to be by their TV sets for appointment viewing. Now they can catch highlights on Youtube or IG so there's naturally less of a sense that they have to watch the whole thing……Lastly, it's been over a decade since the broader audience has cared who is the current Miss USA. It could be because of the popularity of reality TV and how there's always a new flavor of the month person we are currently obsessed with. In the past we didn't have that, now we get obsessed with the current bachelor, the 90 day fiance people, the couples on Love is Blind, etc. There's a lot of noise and cinderella stories to compete with. My two cents!!!

  3. Miss universe is a cheap pageant ๐Ÿ‘Ž..

Miss World ๐ŸŒŽ pageant is a lot better. Better prize money and better salary with the most amazing humanitarian work with beauty with a purpose drive. Miss World pageant is the richest among the rest. The current Miss World winner received $1455942 USD ( approximately $ 1500000 USD ) as a cash prize money and there is also a monthly salary provided in terms of each month's work done by the reigning Miss World ๐ŸŒŽ. Hence, it's the most richest pageant in the world. Above all, the crown ๐Ÿ‘‘ of Miss World ๐ŸŒŽ is extremely beautiful and looks regal. It is made up of real diamonds, sapphires, turquoises and other gemstones fixed in an 18 carat yellow gold body. And for your kind information, the Blue Miss World crown was gifted by the Queen Elizabeth II to the Miss World Organization in 1969 for the amazing humanitarian work done by the pageant. The crown ๐Ÿ‘‘ itself comes from the Queen's Jewellers of the Royal Family. It's a royalty indeed โœจ๏ธ.

  5. Nailed it !
Again here we go back to the โ€œtrump eraโ€ we knew who Miss USA was ! She lives in New York she was on the red carpet!

I do pageant and have been an avid pageant fan all my life. But just this last USA 2022 it was boring, rushed through, and not on par for what it should be.

Ive been in and attended state pageants that were more glamorous and better organized than what I saw this year and that makes me very sad. These girls deserve more โค๏ธ๐Ÿ‘‘

  6. Miss World now has the best production of any international beauty pageant. I hope you remember the stages and productions Julia Morley organised from 2003 to 2013. Not even Miss Grand, Miss Universe or Miss Supranational have been able to replicate what productions Julia Morley had managed for Miss World. I hope you can pretty soon start covering Miss World as well. Look at the diversity of Miss World's winners in the past ten years against Miss Earth or Miss Universe. Many hugs!

  7. The US has lost interest in pageantry/ modeling. The Victoria Secret Show has been cancelled as well. Thereโ€™s too much โ€œwokenessโ€ in this country and people think these pageants are outdated.

  8. I'm from Indonesia, I think Indonesia's example in conducting Puteri Indonesia is one of examples that can be a model for other pageant organizations. The pageant organization has a business on beauty and wellness, so the winner can be the brand ambassador for the products. The event itself doesnt only for entertainment although they sell the rights of broadcasting to national media. Not only choosing the next Miss Universe Indonesia, the event is also for choosing the right Brand Ambassador for Mustika Ratu's products. Not only in business, the winner also being invited in many social & political events in high level, i.e. meeting with President, working with Ministry, etc. So, the winner will be also spokeperson of some Ministries for some issues, i.e. environmental or social issues. By having this business model, pageant business will be sustainable. Pageant winner is not only for pasarela and catwalk (although they also can do catwalk and pasarela), they have jobs to support ministries and the business of the founder. In this model, many stakeholder will always support for pageant. Yayasan Puteri Indonesia will always have money to do this and that because they enjoy the growth of their business and to be recognized by government providing young and smart women to be the spokeperson to collaborate with them. This might be unique since US and most Western countries doesn't apply this case to their national pageant. But look at Indonesia, someone might bully that Indonesian reps are not the most perfect in physique, but in YPI (pageant organization for Miss Universe Indonesia), the winner is not someone who is only stunning in physique. They also look for someone who is suitable to represent the brand and other Indonesian women.

  9. Yes Now IMG will lose more viewers by adding Married Women into Miss Universe i mean for Married women there is a seperate Pageant where they are termed as Mrs. And Not Miss……..many people in my place are ranting about this and feeling it funny ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ…
I wish they also let Men participate in Miss Universe..hopefully in future we'll see that too ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ

  10. This is all part of the great Reset to kill off pageantry and to reset women's beauty to conform to the Left Political Agenda which is no Feminity, more Masculinity and embracing LGBT. It's about controlling people and reset humanity. Everything that is good is bad.

  11. Dani, would you be able to do a video about the titleholders who are in NY For fashion week? Thereโ€™s some clear standouts and I was wondering if you think going to the MU offices is an advantage.

  12. Spot on! And I was totally thinking you should consult before you even said it! I notice with a lot of pageants the national titleholders have to find their own opportunities rather than the organizations providing the opportunities they should for their queens.

  13. The more diversity the more it lost it glam hurt but true. Victoria Secret show for example getting rid off the stereotype skinny model slowly lost it fantasy. People getting more sensitive n racist time to time and all the show trying their best to avoid that where back in 90s everybody enjoy the show.
