Title: Game changer
Review: Pros: This diffuser is the best thing I’ve used for my curls. The size makes drying super fast, even with thick hair, and the cool button helps keep frizz under control. My curls came out bouncy, defined, and smooth—no awkward frizz halo or uneven drying. It’s lightweight and easy to use, which makes it perfect for a bathroom with limited counter space. Plenty of chord length.Cons: Not the product itself, but Amazon. I did not take off any stars for this. Amazon will ship this to you using the box it comes in as a shipping box instead of a regular discrete Amazon box, so EVERYONE at the post office gets to see (and possibly comment on) what you have bought. (Yeah, it’s just a diffuser, but this is bad practice when it comes to other products that are more discrete. Still, none of the postal worker’s business what I am buying. lol) If you have a P.O. box, just be warned that this is going to happen.

Title: A Bargain at the Price? No. But worth it? Absolutely!
Review: My hair has been down to my waist for years. A couple months ago, after a new stylist cut my hair shorter than I’d wanted, I realized I had developed a wave pattern that the weight of my hair had been masking. Since then, I’ve been learning how to work with the new waves — my hair is fine, so it doesn’t take much for those delicate waves to stretch out — and I’d started diffusing with a hair dryer already in the house that had come with a diffuser attachment. It was too hot for my hair even on the lowest heat setting and required me to diffuse upside down, which was problematic due to a health condition and which took a very long time. The results were mediocre at best, and when I had to go to work and couldn’t let my hair air dry over a couple hours, it just didn’t look good.So, for my birthday this year, I decided I’d buy myself the gift of a better hairdryer with a new diffuser. As I was searching for a different diffuser some YouTube wavy hair content creators had recommended, I saw this dedicated diffuser among the listings and was immediately struck by the design. With my short arms, I’d had to hold my previous hairdryer by the barrel to get it into the right position at times, and it struck me that a) this design would address that issue and b) with the bowl-style diffuser (the one I’d had had a flat top), drying would likely be faster and involve fewer contortions. I was also pleased with the lower heat output.There weren’t a ton of reviews either here or on YouTube for the original Diffon model and were even fewer for this Diffon Supreme XL ionic model. So I felt like I was taking a bit of a chance at the price point, but Amazon’s return policy was solid and I really only need a diffuser rather than a standard hairdryer, so I decided to go for it — and to choose this model over the original. And so far, I’m thrilled with my decision!Why? Here’s why I chose this one over the original Diffon model and what I love so much about this version.Let’s start with the settings — unlike the previous version (the DF1 5000), the settings for this model are on the bottom of the unit, not on the side, making it far less likely to accidentally hit a setting while diffusing. And there are more of them — this model includes a cool button (the other version doesn’t) that can be pressed once and doesn’t need to be held down like it does on many hair dryers. The fan strength setting has a slider and the power button sticks out much more than the heat/cool buttons, so it’s easy for me to ascertain by feel alone what I’m doing when I want to make a setting change while diffusing — I find I don’t need to look at the settings to use them.Since this model suggests it’s for long/thick hair and mine is mid-length and fine, I didn’t know if the XL diffuser bowl would be over-sized for my needs, but I find I can put much more of my hair in the bowl at once — this allows my wave clumps to hold together better while pixie diffusing and has also cut my drying time by 2/3. My hair dries quickly but never feels “overdried” after I diffuse with the Diffon Supreme XL, and between the Argan Oil Ceramic and the Ionic Technology (the original model had the former but not the latter), I don’t end up with a bunch of frizz or flyaways (my hair is particularly prone to the latter). The lower temperature also helps me avoid wave collapse when my hair cools — something that tended to happen with my fine hair when using a regular hair dryer — even to diffuse on its lowest heat setting.Because of the shape of this diffuser — which makes so much practical sense, design-wise — I’m also not contorting myself into difficult positions to diffuse and can easily move the diffuser into the position I want, even with my short, stubby arms. And the results? See above — I went from having “half-hearted” texture to having healthy looking waves with comparatively little effort. This diffuser has finally given me something I thought I’d never have — an easy hair routine with “happy-making” results! Happy Birthday to Me!!

Title: Really good diffuser
Review: Love this diffuser. It’s gentle, but dries hair quickly and definitely enhances waves/curls. It’s very light, has a pretty long cord and a couple of different settings. I’d never used a diffuser before, except trying one that was an attachment to a cheap hairdryer, and didn’t know what to expect, but it’s fantastic. Pricey, but worth the money. I have wavy hair and for years left the house with a wet head every morning, even in the cold weather, but now my hair is completely dry and styled when I leave b/c I use this diffuser every morning. I love it. Won’t ever go back to air drying.

Title: Volume without hairspray! Softer hair too
Review: This is a light, small diffuser with a better design than all the diffusers I’ve used in the past. The curls I have after drying (completely) are bouncier and more volumous than I normally get. These pictures were taken one day apart. My “before” picture has hairspray in it to help with volume, but it didn’t really help. In the “after” I just used my normal leave in and gel, then some oil to scrunch after drying. I will not go back to my old dryer! It dried much faster too due to the big diffuser bowl with more holes, and less frizz due to my hair not moving during drying—even on high fan & heat.

Title: Love it!
Review: Great diffuser! Hair has never been so curly and it’s so comfortable to hold. Light weight, ergonomically designed, extra long cord makes this a neat perfect accessory for anyone with long curly hair. Only downside is it is only 600 watts so it does take a lot longer to dry hair, but this may be why my hair looks so much better now. I’d much rather take 10 more min to dry my hair with this then have the frizzy hair all traditional blow dryers w/diffuser attachment result in.It is also pretty quiet, my husband no longer complains about my jet engine blow dryers waking him.

Title: Works great!… does have a weird smell to start
Review: I picked this up because I saw the girlies on TikTok using it. I just got a curly haircut and I’m trying to proudly wear my natural curl more often. This device is perfect for drying my curls there is less air pressure so my curls don’t get frizzy the way it would with a regular blow dryer. I love how it cups my curls as well, the design it the reason I bought it and I’m so glad I did. it also looks so elegant in my bathroom

Title: Not impressed with this dryer
Review: I really wanted to like this dryer. But when I first turned it on, I noticed that it lacked oomph. Not enough airflow and highest heat setting was not that hot and this thing was LOUD. I have thick curly hair and I usually use my regular blow dryer and diffuser on high airflow because it doesn’t bother my curls and it usually takes 18-20 minutes to get my hair dry. After 25 minutes with this dryer, my hair was still very damp. I don’t have the time or patience to be drying my hair for 30+ minutes. The only redeeming quality about this dryer was it was lightweight, but I had to use it for so long that it was counterproductive. The quality of the dryer wasn’t impressive either. Buttons felt cheap.

Review: I just got this hairdryer yesterday and tried it out today for the first time I didn’t even fully wash my hair. I just did a style and diffused. I’m wow in awe I am styling my curly hair for a long while and I never really thought that a hairdryer could make a big difference in my routine as I take care of my hair and I know how to get it to look pretty good, I bought this hairdryer simply because I was so tired of my old diffuser popping off my hairdryer so many times every time I was trying to diffuse my hair it just kept falling off which was annoying so I bought this because it was a one piece and I thought OK I’ll never have to deal with that again But wow I am so impressed. I can’t wait to fully wash and style my hair now my hair is quite damaged from having it lightened and it looks shiny and bouncy and way less frizz today and I wasn’t even trying for that. I’m super impressed. I had actually kept the box because I thought I might send it back because it was so expensive if it wasn’t great but I am definitely keeping it and it is fantastic and I can’t believe that I’ve lived without it for so long because my hair looks way better today than it has in a very long time. Yes, it’s expensive but totally worth it.
