  1. Celeste Cortese dress awesome and a simple but in a nice way but must be comfortable to her,we believe in Celeste Cortese and we're so proud And all out support her God bless 🙏💕🇵🇭👸

  2. Celeste embodies Meghan's song:
I could have my Gucci on
I could wear my Louis Vuitton
    But even with nothin' on
    Bet I made you look
Yeah, I look good in my Versace dress
But I'm hotter when my morning hair's a mess
'Cause even with my hoodie on
Bet I made you look. ♡
People did look at her even in sweats. 🤩

  3. Ms. Philippines organization is a trend setter themselves at the same time unpredictable. They set the mood for their representative making sure others others will questions what kind of moves they are doing and at the same time create a massive trend impact to the pageant world. Celeste departure look is a sponsor clothes which makes is a fresh of breath air in a very elegant way. She's really a very good brand ambassador, she can carry anything and make it look like million dollar worth.

  4. I would like to see a queen who is more relatable, humble and authentic. Celeste checks all the boxes. She broke the internet when she left in a hoodie ensemble and no make up at all. 😊

  5. Senorita outfit is amazing, relatable, comply and too simple as her with authenticity and being humble. We like her style but not a strategy to win. That is her true representation as a Miss Universe charisma factor.

  6. I think this is Celeste's strategy and even Ms Universe pH plan…coz obviously the majority of the candidates are predictable every time they do departure things.. and they stick to what I believe Celeste's authenticity game plan and I love it..🫰🫰🫰

  7. Senorita celeste is promoting simplicity, authenticity and humbleness.and that is her. She has a special power of charisma or charmness like one of the stars of the universe She does not need extra extravaganza departure flight because she is just like other simple girl. She is a very independent woman and she knows on where and how to pick or peak the time of the competition. She blooms and shine like a star with charisma or charmness for every aspect of the competition that we feel to her with out bias as the phlippines is always again…again the winner.

  8. Celeste's outfit gave the impression of a brand ambassador for athletic/casual wear. I was unfamiliar with the brand, but Celeste made me look it up. If that was part of her strategy–especially to make herself more relatable–it worked!

This year R'Bonney/Miss USA may be the FIRST candidate ever to not only design but sew some of her outfits herself! She's a game changer and bringing MU 2022 meets Project Runway edition.

Catriona had posted a video about her MU wardrobe and the planning and thought that went into every single outfit. Fascinating! Catriona's strategy/advocacy from day 1 was to promote Filipino culture through authentic, local textiles and fashion, while paying homage to the host country Thailand (with her arrival outfit), as well as showcasing up and coming local Filipino designers. Isn't she the first to wear Jojo Bragais to the MU stage? Otherwise, I'd never have heard of JB–who's MU's official footwear for a couple of years now. Catriona's and her team's attention to detail, team work, creativity, and research on Filipino heritage, history, and symbolisms are unparalleled! Dream team!

Different strategies, probably partly influenced by the fact that Catriona was an independent candidate unlike most candidates from established pageant camps. She was so thoughtful and hands-on from handpicking her team and trainers, and sponsors down to the smallest of accessories like the earcuffs she designed.

  9. I am ok with the departure look of Celeste Cortesi of the Philippines. After all, it's a freaking 11-12-hour flight, if not a bit more, from Manila to LA! I believe Celeste will have a more glam look by thr time she leaves for New Orleans from LA.

  10. It was refreshing to see Celeste wearing hoodie. I don't think someone should be all glammed up when departing, wearing gowns and tiaras. As you see, our queens from the Philippines also wear pants during departure. It's casual. Maybe Celeste just shocked everyone for being "too" casual. But hey, she looked amazing in it!

  11. Authenticity is not a “look.” It’s a way of being. Perhaps Celeste just wants to be comfortable and warm. And perhaps other candidates just want to be dressier. It’s a bit of a stretch trying to overthink their departure/arrival looks. Catriona may have used hers as a strategy (but Philippines to Thailand is not that long of a flight). But what may have worked for Catriona may not necessarily apply to Celeste. So I would say, we can look at their outfits/looks, but try not to read to much into it.

Also, trying to look “authentic” is the opposite of true authenticity.

  12. I think it’s a strategy for Phils ‘coz when she initially won, people were saying she’s too pretty to be relatable so she always tries to dress down once in a while. They also intentionally hid her departure date.

  13. I like this "natural" and comfortable look before slowly transforming into a glamorous contestant. The transition and the contrast is such an effective tactic. People expected a certain departure look for a representative from the Philippines and got to see an "ordinary- person" getting ready to board a long flight! Is it part of the team's "authenticity" narrative and slowly metamorphosed into a beautifully made up representative? Transformational – (literally) I dare say Yes! I predict, next year there will be contestants who'll be departing like ordinary souls.
