Miss Universe 2023 might have a brand new format for their upcoming edition after Miss Anne announced during an interview in Thailand that she plans to have a Top 7 and then she will announce the winner. This new Miss Universe 2022-2023 format will be to pay tribute to the 71st Edition of the Miss Universe pageant.
After the interview, pageant fans from all over the world expressed their frustration with this decision since they prefer the traditional: Top 15, Top 10, Top 5, Top 3, and Winner.
Nothing has been confirmed yet so as far as I am concerned this change in format for Miss Universe might never happen. I guess we can only wait and see what Miss Anne will decide. How do you feel about this upcoming change in format!?

For me I like the old format top 20-10-5-3rd Runner ups until theres two women standing in the center stage with MU Music then announced the winner which means the country not call is 2nd Runner up
It's okay for me to have Top 7 with all same question to be asked to know who deserves the crown but it will be top 7 and asked random questions that's unfair.
I prefer the previous format. For the reason that, if the Winner unable to fulfill her duties, the first runner up takes over, and the cycle goes.

New format is designed to make sure Miss Thailand gets in the final cut no matter what – with no transparency. You were right in your fear that ownership of MU by a Thai would achieve results similar to how it is when MU is owned by an American – consistent placements and definite crown/s for the country of ownership.

Ms. Anne is only spitballin' you guys. She's a typical business type whose main language has always been "numbers" – they don't know how to mount a show like showbiz creatives do. There is a structure that TV shows follow to accommodate ad buys and pacing a show is crucial.
In the end, you got to leave it to the experts who know how to construct that dramatic narrative and build suspense towards a satisfying climax.

I hope they ask a simple question to the 7 girls and then they pick a top 3 and make the last question, the same to the 3 girls.
Uncut and unfiltered is WAAAAY Better. The more we can get of you, the better. But yeah, I think right now, let's all calm down until we actually know exactly what the changes are. It's all speculation at this point so there's really no point in freaking out. I will, however, say that having a TOP 7, then TOP 3 and winner is okay. I will leave my thoughts once it's actually cemented in stone. For now, can't wait to see what this new organization will do with our beloved Miss Uinverse.

They should retain the 4th Runner up,3rd Runner up, 2nd Runner up, 1st Runner Up and the Winner .
Personally, I wouldn’t like this if its true. 90+ girls put in effort just for 7 to be acknowledged 💔. If this happens then to me, it wouldn’t be interesting

She is set to change the rules to allow women under the age of 27 regardless of marriage, widows or transgender women to enter the pageant for equality in human rights.
No runners up or the owner herself will replace the winner if in case something happened during her reign

To be honest, I don't like this new format, top 7, then the winner. No thrill, losing the excitement. And people will lose interest once the magic word "thrill" in any pageantry is gone.
Too.much winner decreases the prestige of the crown in my.own opinion. It will no longer be different from.Miss Grand International.

Announcing the runners up brings excitement to the audience. It would be mediocre if there will be a Top 7 and then announcing the winner after.

Honestly I didn't like it. I really love the old format of Miss Universe but this kind of info. they I knew I'm freaking don't like it.
I'm honestly okay with having Top 7 but replacement for Top 5. The usual Final 3 should still be there to determine the winner and runners-up.
