For me, DARNA IS NOT A NATIONAL COSTUME. It is a Filipino Superhero and not related to our culture and traditions of the Philippines. National Costume is a traditional clothing of a country. BARO’T SAYA, MODERN FILIPINIANA DRESS or the famous SINULOG FESTIVAL in Cebu. But overall she is beautiful and elegant.

Unang una kasi kapag sinabing Ms. Philippines dapat mukha talagang pilipina. wala dapat halo.. tingnan nyo ang ang ibang bansa tulad ng africa, nigeria talagang pini present nila ang kanilang lahi. eh sa atin kasi kung hindi mukhang amerikina mukhang kastila. tapos yung costume eh hindi talaga pang national costume pang cosplay na lumalabas eh, hindi ako nambabash pero tingnan nyo ang realidad. wala talaga tayong maipi presintang talagang purong pilipina. kaya hindi ako nabigla ng walang nakuha ang philippines.
