  1. In this case, cancel culture should definitely be implemented. She has a platform that could possibly affect and reach millions. She has clearly not done her research and she clearly knows nothing about modern-day pageants and how empowering the platform is and can be.

  2. Mimicry is considered to be a great talent..We have many competitions in India related to mimicry..But some people are so ignorant that they stay ignorant forever. LOL.

  3. Not in any way Miss India's (Miss Universe 2021) question was wage("absurd") or out of the line compared to other questions asked to other contestants… These questions are carefully devised to test and bring out the contents' personalities which otherwise would go unnoticed by the viewers or the fans as a whole… In fact Miss India very wisely was able to turn it in her favour and showcase her talent (being an actress) and personality in a very tactical manner which compelled us to believe how intelligent she actually is… Considering this, Miss India's question was quite difficult compared to others and she very wisely seized the opportunity making sure she gives her best in order to win the title by not just making some animal noises but following it up with a meaningful statement that would encourage many to follow up there "dream career" with whatever talent they have… Even Miss Puerto Rico was asked to demonstrate a Afro-Caribbean dance form which she very gracefully did along with a message that how cultures unites people far and wide… Similarly in the past many contestants were asked identical questions where they either refused to perform (Miss India 2000, who went on to become Miss Universe 2000) owing to the type of gown she was wearing instead she happened to demonstrate certain hand gestures to make the audience familiar with the particular dance form, while others just went on to dance and sing depending on the question asked… Which in any case is never easy to do on a world stage… And thats what we are looking for in our Miss Universe (or any other beauty pageant title holder); talent, courage, outspoken, intelligent, smart and equally beautiful (depending upon how one defines beauty or one's perception of beauty inside out)… Love from India ❤️❤️❤️

  4. I used to laugh at pageants until I was the on onstage and realized how many friends and connections I’ve made through them!! I am competing for the last time (in my town) this year and I’m so sad. I’ve become a better person and established my own ministry because of pageants. The way I look at it in my case is that Lord used pageants to open so many doors to help me find my true identity in Him!!! Love you so much Dani!

  5. Whatever happened to women doing what they want.
Most winners and participants of these pageants are able to jump start their careers.
Several of these girls go not to have successful careers in movies, TV and other careers.
They get money and fame, success.
National costumes also are very interesting
Miss Thailand came as a boxer, several of them had message over their costumes

  6. These pageant bashers and haters remind me of these so called "feminist" who love to bash and hate on Disney princesses for being "anti-woman", when in reality, the Disney princesses are strong in a feminine way, not masculine. (i.e. Cinderella is literally a victim of abuse. She wasn't waiting for a prince to save her. He was a bonus.) Very ironic how these same women who talk about empowerment are bullies themselves

Edit: ironically these same bashers and haters give "not like other girls" vibes, which isn't only sexist and misogynistic, but also pretentious (compared to Miss Universe and Miss World, which are ironically more empowering than said attitudes). Worse part is that they won't listen to our side of the story / POV / perspective, invalidate us and say we're the sexist misogynist ones and act like they're woke and PC (politically correct)

  7. I am agree with every single word of this episode. I’m gagging with the last part about the gay pageants audience 😂 because is true. I’m gay, all of the friends and people that I’ve made through pageantry are gay men or women 🤣

Finally, I really appreciate when you pronounce my country’s name (Colombia) or other like Puerto Rico or Panamá with a Spanish accent. Love that little details.

You’ve definitely spilled the tea Dani.

  8. Same point I raised in their video: men may be watching beauty pageants but they're not there to leer but to admire and support the queens they like i.e. they're not straight so their argument against pageants being the situations that degrade women by the male audience that watch them are straight-up (pun intended) b.s.
