How sad. Just completely sad. I’ve seen local pageants better produced than this. I couldn’t believe this was Miss America. As hokey and over the top the 70s, 80s and early 90s Miss America Pageants were, they were entertaining and worth watching. I’ve seen national spelling bees more exciting and entertaining than this. Breaks my ♥️
This show was an absolute train wreck. I hope the MAO sees that and strives to do much better next year . Emma, indeed the contestants, deserved so much better.

Wow. The winner got a $1,000.00 scholarship compared to the runner-up who got $20,000.00
In the 2016 Miss America Pageant, Miss South Carolina, Daja Dial, spoke eloquently about the Miss America Pageant and ended with “MISS AMERICA IS BACK Y’ALL”! Well, in 2016, IT WAS BACK….and then just a few years later, it is no longer even on TV!!! What changed? We all know the answer to that question!!! Mistakes were made in the pageant format and it is actually no longer a pageant! Miss America began 100 years ago as a swim suit pageant and many great changes were made over the years..adding scholarships, adding a platform for each contestant and community awareness and giving back to their community! All of that is completely gone and these contestants deserve to be back on TV for all of America to celebrate with physical fitness added back in and these women should be celebrated, not hidden from the country!!!! I IMPLORE YOU, BRING BACK THE MISS AMERICA SCHOLARSHIP PAGEANT BC AMERICA 🇺🇸 WANTS IT BACK THE WAY IT WAS!!!!

Once again–What a shame!!! Once an American icon and tradition now not even televised.
First let me say an incredible group of 51 contestants. All beautiful, talented, intelligent and inspiring women who deserve to be on that stage. Now-boring, boring, boring…basically a job interview with no pageant. First, we need swimsuit back and evening gown as well. Three judges are not enough in my opinion. (At least 5). I guess a male judge will never be included- Can you say "Hypocrisy"- Lets PREACH inclusion and have no male judges. Let's tell young women that you can't wear a swimsuit but preach confidence no matter what size you are. Once again Hypocrisy at its finest. How can one question at the very end determine the winner? Isn't it the goal to find an all-around woman? I could go on and on-let me end by stating this is NOT Miss America. More power to anyone or organization who provides scholarships for young women or men but start your own program. From 80,000 national contestants to 4,000. This is a travesty. I can't believe a small group of individuals STOLE the Miss America trademark. Please someone bring it back to its glory
