There’s a new No. 1 in On3’s transfer portal rankings, and it’s defensive tackle Walter Nolen. Nolen, a sophomore at Texas A&M, announced Sunday that he was entering the portal, but he didn’t officially enter until Wednesday. Now it’s a question of where he’s going. Tennessee? Michigan? Alabama? Florida State?

Meanwhile, Kansas State offensive coordinator Collin Klein is coming to Texas A&M. The former Wildcats quarterback is leaving his alma mater to run the offense for new Aggies coach Mike Elko.

Next, Florida quarterback Graham Mertz joins the show. Mertz, who went through the transfer process last year, explains what it’s like to be a QB in the portal. He also tells the painful story of the broken collarbone that ended his season. Plus, the proud Kansas City native will have none of Andy’s KC barbecue slander.

  1. I have to admit as a Florida Fan I was a bit skeptical of Mertz, but he impressed me this year. He played tough, liked by his teammates (at least from what I can tell), and made some clutch throws. Seems like he knows next year he will also have to be open to help develop Lagway and IF that is the case that should be a good situation for us.

  2. As an Aggie, I'm used to a life of pain. Also, Bisontis started at RT and not guard. He was terrible but he was probably playing the wrong position. I expect he'll turn into a good guard. Overton didn't produce much but he may have just not been used properly by our DC. Supposed to be a great kid though.
