Title: Love It
Review: I like the other power grip primers but I have oily/combination skin and prefer a more matte finish since I’m ~naturally dewy~ and this delivers! Soft matte finish combined with a light amount of pressed powder on my oilier areas.

Title: Really allows my foundation to last all day
Review: I have been having issues with my current foundation drying out and forming little visible lines in the creases on my face. In the winter my skin is really dry and it makes my foundation just not work as well. This primer has totally solved this issue. It does go on really sticky and “grippy”. Once I put on my foundation/concealer/powder, it dries totally matte and it stays in place all day. The primer totally prevents my foundation from settling into the fine line and wrinkles as well. This lasts all day and it seems to hydrate my face as well. It comes off easily with my normal makeup remover.

Title: Really does have sticking power
Review: With using just a small amount, your makeup will stay put all day. I use on my eyelids especially, and my nose, cheeks, chin area, avoiding the area under my eyes and forehead. I do notice it does allow the foundation to stick a little more in my fine lines and wrinkles where I want to avoid my makeup from filling in. Those areas I personally go light on the makeup and use oils for hydrating. For the rest of my face, this will keep your makeup in place all day without fail. I feel confident that I will not have to reapply, especially for a night out, which is really the only time I do wear makeup. Mostly my eye lids, which I have hooded eyes and and aging thin skin, where it can easily crease and wear off. It is worth getting for this use alone.

Title: Matte primer
Review: I like this primer because it gives a matte finish without drying out my skin. I appreciate that it has skincare ingredients to protect and keep the skin hydrated. It has a sticky finish which helps to keep makeup in place all day. I found that it does much better with liquid or cream foundation than powder foundation, and you definitely have to give it a minute to dry down before applying makeup over it. But once applied my makeup lasted all day. I love the gel texture, it’s super affordable, and a little goes a long way.

Title: ELF Face Primer
Review: This face primer for makeup from ELF is nice and sticky, it provides a great base for makeup and gives the makeup something to hold on to on your face so that it lasts a lot longer. I noticed that my makeup life was a lot longer when using this primer before anything else. The primer is easy to apply although it is sticky and kind of tacky, but that is what you want so that it works well. There isn’t much of a smell that I noticed. The product didn’t pill or melt off on my face, the wear was great, and the texture was nice. So far no issues with clogging pores or breakouts either.

Title: No perfume smell, like a light mask
Review: This is great if you have oily skin and are looking for a way for makeup to stay on better without having to use so much powder. It’s sticky and tacky going on, which is the point. It dries nicely and offers a thicker base than other primers I have tried. Like that it does not have a detectable perfume scent.

Title: There are better primers
Review: I recently tried this gel-based, hydrating face primer that promises to smooth skin and grip makeup for a naturally dewy finish. While I appreciated its lightweight texture and the inclusion of hydrating ingredients like hyaluronic acid, I found that it didn’t significantly extend the wear of my makeup throughout the day. Additionally, the primer’s tacky feel upon application was a bit off-putting, and I didn’t notice a substantial difference in the appearance of my pores or skin texture. On the plus side, it’s an affordable option and didn’t cause any irritation on my sensitive skin. However, I believe there are other primers available that better meet my needs for longevity and pore minimization.
