I was 8 years old, watching the Miss Universe pageant with my mom when Apasra Hongsakula won the crown in 1965! I just lost my mom in August of this year, she was 94. I wish to share with those reading this that she ALWAYS thought she was the most beautiful Miss Universe winner! Her favorite winner! We watched the pageant together every year! We are Puerto Ricans and my memories of me and my mom watching this pageant will forever hold a special place in my heart. Thank you MU organization!🙏❤👑

If the Philippines wasn't governed by corruption, they would have owned the pageant by now, but Miss Universe Organization sees that Philippines is a very corrupt third world country who only cares about placements, that is why they will never hand the ownership to them.
