  1. Not sure I understand the logic of the lady commentator, on one hand she argues that all of the FSU wins are meaningful and should be considered then turns around and says the Texas win over Alabama is apparently meaningless and Alabama should be ranked above Texas 🤷🏼‍♀️? Also why is the strength of schedule metric never brought up, the Alabama schedule was ranked 5th most difficult, Texas 13th and FSU 50th 😳. IMO the resumes of Bama, Texas and FSU were pretty equal, FSU being undefeated with Bama and Texas having one loss, all were Conference Champions but I think the FSU strength of schedule rank as compared to Alabama and Texas was the determining factor in why the CFB Committee ranked FSU below Bama and Texas. I really don’t have a rooting interest here and am looking at it as an outsider but it appears to me the Committee got it right. I know this is a hard pill to swallow for the Nole fans and is bitterly disappointing but salute the players, coaches and staff and celebrate a great season and Conference Championship, not too many fan bases are afforded that luxury.

  2. All CMN needs to know is that he and the hard fought Noles are the victim of the battle between Disney and DeSantis' deranged antics. Being ESPN is owned by Disney. All is needed is a simple phone call between Bob Iger and IMO, the real reason why we were snub is we were in the crossfire between Disney and DeSantis deranged antics. Being that Disney owns ESPN all Bob Iger needs to do is to make a simple phone call to James Pitaro, President of ESPN, and the rest is history. Typical corporate boardroom move.

  3. Did anybody watch the Tallahassee Quarterback Club hosting Joe Tessitore, the eSECpn announcer who spent the entire broadcast of the ACCCG trashing our team and praising Bama? Why the f was his visit not canceled and why did they treat him like a damn hollywood A-Lister laughing at his stupid jokes, clapping, asking him softball questions, etc.? These people just watched him trash our team! These rich f@#ks brains must work different than us common folks!
It's like they'd watch their kids get abused and then laugh and joke with the abuser! F'ing DISGUSTING!!!

  4. Tradition, team pride, school spirit, history, bands and cheerleaders (for us, Renegade, Marching Chiefs, Osceola, Tomahawk Chop and War Chant, the Dynasty years, Sod Cemetery, etc)……there were several aspects of college football that made it my #1 favorite sport, with #2 not even close. One thing that made the rivalries so intense and Saturdays so exciting is that the regular season mattered so much. Lose to the Gators or the 'canes and not only do you lose some face, but your claim to a NC is either gone or pinned on the hopes that the teams above you lose as well. If you are not having your best year but can knock someone out of the NC race, how great is that? Every game mattered. Part of the relief I felt when the 'Noles channeled the defenses of the 80s and 90s and held on, possession after possession, seemingly sacking UL's QB for the last 12 plays of the game, was that we did it. We faced a lot of challenges, but we made it through. A perfect record…..and another shot at a title. Well…..^&*%.

Going to a 12-team playoff may make it so that this travesty doesn't happen again, but it won't right the wrong that was done. Furthermore, the intensity of every Saturday mattering will be gone now…..UM vs Ohio St? If both teams know they're making the playoffs anyway, will they care so much? If we lose to UF after Thanksgiving but know we'll finish Top 12, will you still get that knot in your stomach at kickoff? NIL and transfer portal will finish what the playoffs started…we've already seen it the last few days and it will only get worse. Kids won't play for their dream school or follow their family traditions any more, they'll go where they can get the most money, and then transfer a year later to get even more. It was great for over 30 years of my life, but it is all going away now, and it makes me a little sad.

  5. Im 51 years old have been a fan of, watched and have followed the noles since 1983. The defense that was on the field saturday night was one of if not the best defenses FSU has put on the field in the 40 years ive warched them. They played as a complete unit at all 3 levels. I would stack that d up against any of the top 4 teams. The 85 bears won with a qb that wasnt very good, the 2000 ravens won with trent dilfer at qb and warched the bucs win with brad johnson. Watched a 9-7 giants team beat a new england team that was undefeated until that super bowl game. When did football no longer become a team game with offense, defense and special teams. Dont ever tell me that defense doesnt matter and cant win games. They want ratings, want to turn it into sports entertainment and dont want a dominant d on the field holding teams to 7-10 points. They want 30+ point games, they would rather see 28 to 38 game than a 17 to 7 game, although both games are 10 point wins one is more.exciting than the other. Greg mcelroy won a title with the 2009 alabama team while going 6 for 11 for 58yds against texas. He needs to stop already. This is the craziest thing ive ever seen, they werent leaving an sec team out period, we know who runs college football. In the words of Herm Edwards, Hello, you play to win the game!

  6. 2014, there were FSU supporters who were unhappy that they might not make the top 4 (that was the first year of the CFP)…Herbstreit had this to say:

"Why such sensitivity from FSU fans. If you win out you'll be IN the top 4 regardless. Who cares who's 1 or 2. Goal is to FINISH in top 4!"

    — Herbstreit, October 12, 2014

Guess winning out isn't so important anymore.

  7. Conspiracy theory: I believe that this was always going to happen. Ever since Michael Alford made everything public in February, that night the Powers that be got into a room and we’re thinking 💭 “how can we screw FSU the most”. At their highest point.
