I wonder if she was mentioned in the John Quincy Adams bio that was done recently? Very cool episode!
Dude meant to say pack, not carton, unless dad had a serious nicotine problem 😮
Rodan was my favorite Godzilla character 😂
Little known fact: 57% of Roadshow guests are seeking to money launder using their artifacts
Hi Amelia and Nick.
Autograph Album broads don't speak- they croak. I could not listen. Do you people realize you sound like frogs? WTF???
"The Davy Crockett, which is really the star of the piece -" "Right." They're both behaving as if, OF COURSE, Davy Crockett would be the star of all of the names mentioned. Why? He's no more famous or impressive than John Quincy Adams or James and Dolley Madison, or Charles Dickens – certainly not 10 to 15 times more famous and interesting than Quincy Adams or the Madisons, or 20 to 30 times more than Dickens. The only thing that I can think of that might explain the valuation disparity is the possibility that Crockett signed very little, but that's not something that's common knowledge, and if that's the reason it really should have been mentioned. It didn't even occur to me that that might be the case until I'd thought about it for a while.
I must be really old. I remember paying $0.10 (ten cents) for comic books. I was so upset when they jumped up to $0.12.
Carolina were they actually think Donald Trump is Jesus Christ.
The Assessor for the Pueblo Water Pitcher…… he got close to the interpretation of the mythology in the artwork. I'm Native American, he tried but didn't quite get there.
'Not able to buy cigarettes at age 10 in 1911' – I wouldn't be so sure about that. After my father's hernia surgery in the mid 1980s he sent me to the grocers for a pack of Marlboro Reds. The clerk looked at my ~10 year old face and asked if they were for my dad. I said, yes. And bicycled my merry way home with a pack of Marlboro Reds. Crazy to think about now.
I’m better than everyone
"Do I have a buyer in the house!?" What a charming southern gentleman! He's probably a real hoot at a party or event.
Walter Cecil: May 12, 1864 – March 26, 1866. RIP little guy.
I especially liked the Willie Daniels oil paintings. 🎨🖼🖌
Whoa pretty cool, I didn’t expect to see Sylvan Esso on the Roadshow! Cool bowl at 31:38
Gotta tune in just to see what Nicholas Lowry is wearing!
Seems very low for the first miss America trophy
