Garnier Olia is unlike any other traditional, permanent hair color. Powered by a 60% oil blend formula with natural flower oils, Olia propels colorants deep into the hair, giving you vivid color results and 100% gray coverage. The oils help to reverse roughness and dullness without hair feeling weighed down. The non-drip formula has no ammonia, so it smells great as you apply. The end result? More brilliant, long-lasting color and hair that is hydrated, silky, looks full and up to 3x shinier than uncolored, unwashed hair. What’s in the hair dye kit? A developer applicator, a colorant tube, after color conditioner, as well as a set of gloves and the instruction sheet. Packaging May Vary

Customers say

Customers find the hair dye easy to use and apply, leaving their hair feeling soft and healthy, with a pleasant smell. The color receives mixed feedback – while some love the overall shade, others report it fades quickly, and opinions on value are divided between those who find it good value and those who consider it a waste of money. The product’s longevity and hair health effects are also mixed, with some finding it lasting and shiny, while others report poor durability and massive hair loss.

Title: Soft hair, grays covered.
Review: I have been using this product since the pandemic. Before I had paid $$$ at a salon. When I was forced to do my own color I tried Olia. It is easy to use and has no ammonia or peroxide. My hair is soft and shiny. It covers the gray and lasts 6-8 weeks. I shampoo once a week. I swim a few times a week, but only rinse my hair after. This helps retain the color. I now only color my hair myself. I appreciate getting Olia through Amazon, I rarely find my color at a store.

Title: Fun Color
Review: I love this hair color and I get a lot of compliments on it. It stays vibrant through multiple washes. When the color does start to fade, it doesn’t look bad. The pigment isn’t as bright, but the color is still very nice. It’s been a month and a half since I last colored my hair, and I’m still getting compliments on the shade. My hair feels dry the first day, but i havent noticed a ton of damage and hair usually feels back to normal after adding some moisturizer

Title: Colors great at first then fades rapidly
Review: I use Olia Medium Blonde every month since my grays grow in so fast now…I love the color of this Olia. Problem is it washes out in about a week. It turns to a much lighter blonde…still better than gray but I would prefer the medium blonde to stay that way. Anyone using Olia and has a bad color result…don’t worry it’ll wash out in a weeks time. I do like no ammonia and it doesn’t smell as bad as others I’ve used…Oh well not many good choices for those of us who color their own hair. I went once to a salon and it was expensive as heck and didn’t not work well so I’ve been DIY for many years.

Title: A strong contender in the ammonia-free hair dye market.
Review: Garnier Hair Color Olia is a popular choice for those looking for an ammonia-free hair dye with a focus on nourishing and vibrant results. Here’s a comprehensive review based on its key features and performance:Pros:Ammonia-Free Formula: One of the standout features is that Olia is free from ammonia. This can make the application process more pleasant and less harsh on the hair and scalp. It also helps to reduce the strong chemical smell often associated with hair dyes.Oil-Rich Formula: The dye is infused with natural oils (like flower oils), which help to nourish and condition the hair during the coloring process. This can leave hair feeling softer and looking shinier compared to some other dyes that can be drying.Rich, Long-Lasting Color: Many users report that the color results are vibrant and long-lasting. The dye is designed to penetrate deeply into the hair fiber, which helps the color to stay true and not fade quickly.Pleasant Scent: Compared to traditional hair dyes, the scent of Olia is generally considered to be more pleasant, likely due to the absence of ammonia.Wide Range of Shades: Garnier Olia offers a broad spectrum of shades, from natural to vibrant colors, making it easy to find a hue that suits your preferences.Good Coverage: It provides excellent coverage for gray hair, which is a significant benefit for those looking to cover up grays.Cons:Application: Some users find the application process a bit tricky. The oil-rich formula can be thicker and might not spread as easily as other dyes. This can sometimes make it harder to ensure even application.Development Time: The processing time might be longer compared to some other dyes, which could be a consideration if you’re looking for a quick coloring solution.Color Variability: As with any hair dye, results can vary depending on your starting hair color and type. It’s a good idea to do a strand test before applying the dye to your entire head to ensure you get the desired shade.Price: Garnier Olia can be a bit pricier compared to some drugstore hair dyes. However, the benefits of an ammonia-free formula and nourishing oils might justify the cost for many users.Overall:Garnier Hair Color Olia is a strong contender in the ammonia-free hair dye market. It offers vibrant, long-lasting color while being gentler on the hair thanks to its oil-rich formula. It’s a great choice for those looking to avoid ammonia and who appreciate added conditioning benefits. While the application might require a bit more effort and the price is slightly higher, the results often justify these considerations.

Title: Glad I Switched from Nutrisse to Olia
Review: I switched from Garnier Nutrisse to Olia when they discontinued #41 – Dark Nude Brown in the Nutrisse. I was a little concerned because of a few bad reviews, but Olia worked great for me. I like it even better than Nutrisse. The color lasts longer and it doesn’t bleed out. With Nutrisse I had to cover my pillowcase with a towel to avoid staining it the night after coloring. My hair feels healthy and looks shiny. A few reviewers said their hair was oily after using Olia, but mine wasn’t oily at all. It may be because my hair is very thick and tends to be dry.I tried the Dark Brown 4.0 first. It looked exactly like the box, but the color was too dark for me. The next time I tried Medium Brown 5.0 and it was perfect (again, it looks exactly like the pictures on the box.) I’ll be sticking with Olia. Hopefully they won’t change the formula or discontinue the color. Finally, I love that all Garnier products are cruelty-free. Before using their color I was paying outrageous prices for salon coloring (Paul Mitchell) because it was the only way to get decent color without buying from companies that test on animals.

Title: Starts to wear off if you use hair gel like a week later
Review: It looks nice when it’s first done about a week or more later if you use gel such as shine jam to do a ponytail the color slightly starts to come off on your hand. I used only an amount smaller than a dime to slick down my hair to make it neat since I have both way and curly shoulder length hair.

Review: Can but in Walmart USA for $10.00. Can’t buy in Canada! Lovely colour, excellent product but very very expensive to buy here! So if you want this product, and you are in Canada you are stuck paying this ridiculous price! I would say gouging! It should be more reasonable priced!

Review: I found this dye easy to use with good instructions. I was concerned that there would not be enough dye to cover my shoulder length thick hair, but it did. I chose it as it was one recommended for grey coverage. I don’t have a lot of grey, but it is stubborn! I did put a lot around my temples and hair line (twice), however I can still see a bit of grey. Considering what a mess my hair was before this, I am pleased with the colour (I went darker to cover all the colours I had going on).

Review: Es muy bueno y no irrita la piel, pero no dura. Me lo puse hace un mes y ya no tengo color. El pelo me lo lavo cada 3 días porque tengo piel seca, así que tengan eso en cuenta.
