Definitely worth watching, good movie.
Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Jude Law is perfect as Tom Wolfe
If Thomas Wolfe was half as flaky as portrayed in this movie. OCD is a mental disorder if I'm not mistaken. He just seemed a little out to lunch to meet.
Jude law was not a good choice for Thomas Wolfe.
A Parasite of Love, in exchange for Love, kindness, and friendship.. and the fullness of loneliness that every writer has kept in their hearts, yet the inclination can only be dispersed on paper, stone, or canvas..the art of Tom Wolfe's love and the sincere need to publish a treasure..I just love it when God puts intent into our lives for inspiration from another God given talents
I have read the book about what she went through and it is as powerful or even more than the movie. Thank goodness the movie was made so this horrendous matter could come to the notice of those who would never have known about Henrietta Lacks.
for me, there was one powerful scene dialogue by the time you recognize an atrocity you may already be… complicit in one. I wasn't able to focus and really watch this but that 1 scene…. i'm a victim of a violent crime, and every step of the way more crimes were committed rather than on up, show any remorse. The goal was to make a mockery of the violence, and cheat lie win…. i'm standard how evil people can be, and how they have no remorse or shame. It's pretty shocking. my friend is 99. He survived Auschwitz and he said he's chosen to do good be a good person be kind.
The book editor is as much of a genius as the fabulous writers he discovered.
Two British actors playing well-known American men. What do the wokies think of that?
Well done. All of the phonies really came out of the woodwork in the comment section!
I’m glad S6 is getting the reaction from some sectors (nonjudgmentally)and I’m on board with those who recognize it courage to challenge expectations. I’m especially pleased that Mazey Gray drew the lowest rating, makes me feel better because I liked it so much.
Geniuses are pretty much some sort of OCDs. They can’t stop whatever they are into ever since they’ve started. This is why they are the best.
I have now watched this masterpiece three times and it only gets better….more seamless….the performances beyond real…all magnificently portrayed…the writing, the editing, the set design, the color of it all, the music, the sublime direction. A perfect film. Bravo to all!!!
Don’t you just love him? Such a great actor.
Dickie hates being confronted
Nicole Kidman 🤩😍☮️❤️
I see Nicole Kidman I click quickly.
I chose to review this movie on my channel because I saw the 4 stars. Join us live on July 14th at 8pm EDT, if you like.
Loved the film and how it touches on the insanity of genius, metal health issues, the mad creative process. He wakes from surgery says pencil. The nurse gives him one w paper and leaves… really? Ya think someone would stay and help him. Just a thought. The ending was powerful. ❤️🙏🏻. Now I have to read more Thomas Wolfe
I have never heard of this movie and youtube random generator just started playing it. WOW, LOVE THIS!!! My mom is distant cousins with Perkins, Fitzgerald & Hemmingway. Via the British and Dutch, from the Mayflower. I had 4 great grandparents, the Whites. And I'm cousins with the Fullers. My dad is Hawaiian royalty. My grandfather Gabby Pahinui was the leader of the Hawaiian people for 40 years, and a world famous sound healer.
The performance of actors is wonderfully excellent. Question, why does he wear his hat in the house? Could the hat be metaphor for his formal, structured manner and beliefs? Hmm. Enjoyed this movie immensely. Thank you.
I wish every word had been published. Every single word. As bad as it might have been, or as long. What a difficult job to cut away such delicious fat, even if it gave a perfect steak.
A man in those days always took their hat off indoors, and to sit at the table for dinner and keep it on would have been the height of bad manners.
We (women) are still having to deal with a male mindset believing that women have no purpose in Higher Calling; A place of leader shiip of something or of greater importance in order to serve and save much more of humanity compared that to the Anti-Christs…self glorification and worship; they see themselves as gods. 🙁
So good 😘
Good movie except for Law.
Max Perkins would never say "a myriad of."
That was the first Harry Potter book
The truly Bizarre thing is if you google Thomas Wolfe images – Colin Firth has the most uncanny likeness of him
