Asya Branch always dreamed of becoming a beauty queen. She never imagined making history on two fronts, becoming the first black woman to be crowned Miss Mississippi crown as well as the first woman from her state to win the Miss USA pageant.
“Mississippi had never won Miss USA before and so going into the competition I was like, I can make history again,” Branch told CBN News.
Her response to a question on gun control during last November’s Miss USA competition clinched her win.

Hopefully this wicked and immodest woman will repent of her wickedness.
Shame on CBN for promoting this wickedness, you give Christianity a VERY bad name, VERY sad indeed….
Best wishes at Miss Universe Asya!
I was 5 years of chronic illness! I was Semi Housebound, lost my health, job, finances and my fiance left me. I couldn't even look at electronic screen for 5 minutes, or hold a 10-minute conversation.
But God did an amazing work.
I now have a Christian Channel where I encourage people and show them what God did in my life and that there is hope for you also. ✝️🔥
Keep believing even when it's hard 🙏❤️🔥
All things are possible with God
Many of us have had a hard childhood and it becomes us, not knowing another way to live, and not having encouraging positive support in our life, our life turns out for destruction.. But Asya Branch.. believed in herself.. She believed in her dreams.. all while she was still young and her hope was not dashed..(It is good that they did not disqualify her for her response on gun control) She had an inner strength.. She believed and trusted in the Lord.. He gave her the desire of her heart.. she was also able to go to University of Mississippi, get a degree, then go to New York and become a criminal justice advocate.. Blessings to Asya Branch, Miss USA 2020..
Lust of the flesh and pride of life. Who controls you cbn
You're actually covering miss USA?
If anything should be canceled it should be beauty pageants.
The average woman isn't one who will ever make it on that stage by her looks. It really does set women up to feel like they have to be beautiful to be recognized.
Believing Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord is victory hallelujah Amen 🙏🌹
ALL blacks are about to make history and unlike the ones who now have us under their control the Lord is not gone single us out like one is more outstanding than another! We're all the same!
