Title: Nice shine with a very small amount
Review: This is my first experience with this product. It is restoring shine to my hair that was stressed by a much too strong custom shampoo. I was looking for a leave-in conditioner, and this one worked well with a small amount. My frazzled hair is much smoother right away. I am pleased that the smell is not overpowering. I like JVN very much so far. It is conditioning and yet not oily or greasy. Just what I wanted.

Title: What sorcery is this?!
Review: Wasn’t sure what I was expecting but I ended up being blown away by the results I got after just one application of this magical potion in a 3.5 oz glass jar. A yummy smelling concoction that detangles, gives my waist length baby-fine highlighted hair slip, shine, sleekness and frizz defying volume all at the same time. And a little goes a long way. I am hooked!

Title: Repairs hair, conditioning without adding weight to my fine hair
Review: Usually these kind of products weigh my fine hair down and make them seem oily soon. This is different, I apply to ends and little above and my frizzy hair is gone, no extra build up or oil. And after using this for just a while it seems my hair grows so much faster. I have really fine hair that tends to break when they reach certain length, this is no longer the case so this serum is now a staple in my hair care routine.

Title: Undamaged product and shipping issues – haven’t had a chance to use it yet.
Review: This JVN item was part of a larger order. The product box was not just open but disassembled, no seal of any kind and when I opened the jar it is less than half full. I expected more from JVN. It must have leaked because I cannot escape the scent, no matter how much I wash my hands. I hate to send this back but I am uncomfortable using something that has obviously been tampered with at some point in the process. The box from Amazon was sealed up clean and professional.

Title: Big fan of JVN
Review: I have “good” hair – good natural volume, curly/wavy texture, and I get great haircuts from someone I trust. Product has always been a crapshoot. Gel doesn’t work. Mousse is meh.I want volume and definition but not greasy, and I don’t want puffy either. Also I’m impatient so if I can do without any heat style tools that’s what I want. I’m happy to take any cowlick or frizzy piece, stretch it and pin it down while wet, so it’ll air drive smooth. That’s the extent of the effort I want to put in. The whole point of the great haircut is to eliminate “styling time.” These products are perfect. I put the JVN air dry in my wet hair, pin whatever pieces I want to shape, let it air dry and the result lasts for days without additional product. Lightweight, smells very fresh, no build up, just as promised, and it kills the frizz. It took longer to figure out how to use the recovery serum but wet the hair a bit, rub the serum between your palms, rake it through and neaten up with a Denman brush, it works. These two products cover my hair “styling” needs without anything else.

Title: Very little product in the jar; more like a sample
Review: I love JVN and I love the brand’s air dry cream, but this recovery serum does not compare! I ordered the smaller size and like many other buyer’s have said, there is a large dip or void in the jar! It smells nice, but it didn’t last long. I live in a very humid environment and it didn’t help with frizz, unfortunately. I wanted to like this, but it is just not worth the money. The jar is reusable, so there’s that.
