Title: Real and potent!
Review: Without doubt the 5-ounce bottle of La Vie Est Belle EDP I received is genuine. The bottle is beautiful, very heavy and of obvious quality. The only drawback: the large size, angular shape and sheer weight make it hard to hold at the correct angle to spray; those with arthritic hands (or weak biceps) might consider a smaller size. This is no defect of the product – just something I didn’t anticipate. The different-sized bottles are refillable, which is great.The scent is strong, multi-faceted and lingering – no need to re-apply later in the day. I’m not sure how much I love the actual fragrance, which opens with an intense floral-musky jolt. But after a couple of hours it mellows into a warmer, more vanilla-tinged but still assertively floral scent that I’m increasingly enjoying. It seems to improve with each wearing. I live far from shops where I can try on perfume before purchase so this was a blind buy.It’s a fact that even high-quality perfume sometimes continues to develop weeks or months after it’s been opened and can become more rounded and full. This process is called maceration and might possibly be happening here – again, not a fault of the perfume. It could just reflect the high sales volume due to its popularity, so bottles don’t get a chance to age at all before being sold.I’m not knocking the quality at all. It’s obviously real, complex and full. This is personal preference – I just tend to prefer green, less-sweet chypre perfumes. But I continue to wear it and it’s growing on me.

Title: A lot floral, a bit spicy, rose is in the background
Review: I live far from a large city, so I have to travel 30-45 minutes to get to a mall with a perfume bar in order to test fragrances. That would be fine–if they had any testers……And the four-letter M store hardly ever has more than a few, and nobody knows when a new supply will be coming in…..Anybody else stuck with the same situation?So I sometimes buy online. And I took a chance on this Lancôme La Vie Est Bell perfume last week. And it is a chance, isn’t it? Because nobody has the same smeller, nor the same body and skin. So reviews hold true for some and not others. I guess that is my Disclaimer…..One has to perceive this perfume in a different frame of mind than a less expensive perfume. Hey, I buy a lot of Snif and will continue to be a fan of that brand forever, so I feel I can say that without being condescending.But I love rose fragrances and I really like this one. It is intriguing. It has depth, and is not light and “fresh”. It goes on spicy and floral. It loses it spiciness soon and leaves a pleasant floral scent, with some rose buried in there. After many hours there is a sweet vanilla scent that lingers lightly.I do not find it to potent. I only need one good spritz of this to carry me through the day. I would do more on date night. If you spritz like you do for a less expensive scent, you will be overpowered by this.

Review: perfume this for half a and week and a half for this perfume as the reviews consistently said it was such a beautiful fragrance. I also saw it recommended on a fragrance group I’m in. It was well worth the money and two sprays has me feeling feminine and sophisticated.
